He has been stalked in the past, so I guess it makes sense. He was sleeping in his car at one point because of it. Justin Whang did a great video on the subject.

I imagine because Florida is super hot and the sun will incinerate his fair skin on contact.
And given his history with weird people following him, he has every reason to be cautious of stalking.
