Hey, I covered that artist and their humanized Thomas AU art on this thread a while ago. Good to see that they're still at it... I guess. It's kind of a fascinating trainwreck (no pun intended.)

It seems this thread is preemptively getting dumped with pride content simply because it's the first day of June. Most of the pride posts so far have been of characters wearing flags and yelling Tumblr platitudes like "trans rights!", but would be perfectly normal drawings without said elements.
Personally I don't think those kinds of drawings are all that noteworthy anymore. Everyone and their grandma has drawn something like "Miku hates TERFs!" at this point, the novelty has worn out. Plus, there's nothing inherently evil about drawing characters celebrating pride. It's when the artist starts projecting and/or assuming authority over the character that it really gets SJW-y.
Also, it's kind of boring to see cutely-drawn art with a few solitary flags posted in here over and over again, for me at least. The human Thomas art is probably my favorite pride month post here so far (partially because I have a soft spot for human AUs, even the SJW ones).
That's just my two cents, though. Everyone's definition of "SJW" is different, after all.

Is it not possible to represent troons without drawing them extremely ugly? Are they not real transfolx unless they look extremely mannish and misshapen? Seems very defeatist to me.

I normally don't go for that "muh ruined childhood" garbage but for fuck's sake....
I used to be a major fan of Thomas The Tank Engine when I was a small kid in the late 90's-early 2000's and I grew up along the original Clinchfield railroad routes in the Appalachian coalfields (in fact, I lived in the town where the last spike of the Clinchfield Railroad was driven in 1915 for the majority of my childhood) and while I haven't lived anywhere near that area since I was 14 and haven't been fan of Thomas since I was in grade school, there's just something about this drawing that disturbs me on some primal level.
Like it's not merely cringe-inducing like most SJW fan art but part of me gets this dread feeling about this mainly due to that OC, even if the Clinchfield 311 OC is likely based on that weird demon ghost train fanfic creepypasta and not the real Clinchfield 311 engine (which according to a quick Google search was a diesel engine that was re-purposed by CSX when they bought out the company in the late 80's and retired in the very early 2000's)
Seeing an SJW make references to your hometown in weird fan art of a beloved childhood show is a strange and uncomfortable feeling.
I'd imagine it'd feel similar to watching your best friend from childhood grow up and then seeing them in the lead role in a hardcore porn adaptation of The King In Yellow.
