I think it's him wanting to start up some drama but not wanting to be direct with it. Kind of business as usual with him.
Part of why I've always disliked Liam is because he's always felt two-faced to me. He likes to be contrarian and make little passive-aggressive barbs at others but the moment someone does the same to him, he can't take it at all.

Matt's probably fine, he does stuff with Derek from the Stop Skeletons from Fighting channel, he'll do Did You Know Gaming voice work, he might not ultimately be as popular as pat or woolie but he'll be fine. Liam doesn't have the kinds of connections that the other three have, it seems like he's trying to get them with how "woke" he's acting. Bragging about apologizing for misgendering someone in a dream you had comes off as desperately trying to show you're 'with it'
But I get the feeling the people he's trying to get in good with will always remember him as the white dude that said "nigger" the most out of the zaibatsu.
