Actually, Nick slashed their budget right before the last episode, so that might explain some of the rushed bits of it.

I like how Dobbie keeps on going on about Deviantart being a toxic place when by near everyone else it's known as a huge hugbox where you can upload any terrible fanart or recolour you want and at least one person will tell you you've done a great job.

He only thinks it's toxic because people DARE to try to help him not be such a dumbass. If he just answered "okay, thanks." to every comment he ever got, people would stop trying to make him less of a shitstain and magically the place would seem less "toxic" to him. Sorry, preaching to the choir! Dobs brings out my RAEG.

I'd even go as for as to say that a part of his self-destructive personality was bred by DeviantArt. His posting of "edgy" and "controversial" opinions probably earned him a lot of asspats on DeviantArt, and since Dobbo is insecure by nature this probably grew into a habit. And since at one point, he has a huge fanbase that was willing to eat his critics for breakfast, so he felt that he could get away with some of the lazy shit that he now pulls all the time. Remember, DeviantArt previously created such talented geniuses as Disneyfan01 and Moleman9000.

Why does Dobbles have such an entitled worldview? "There's no excuse not to-" but he has no say in any of this. Edits cost money too, and for a lot of shows it's just not worth it. Especially editing around an entire relationship, not just adding pants onto a character. Does he even understand how seriously some countries take things like homosexuality, porn, erotica, etc.? You can get arrested for writing smut in China. He's got such an inflated opinion of himself.

Also, critics like AVGN and NC cater to the most generic crowd of movie-goers. They entertain, not orate about gay representation in media.

This. Especially in regards to AVGN: his schtick is playing shitty games, cussing up a storm, getting into fistfights with popular characters (up to and including the NC), and toilet humor. And it's not even his biggest passion: James Rolfe has lots of fun as the Nerd, but he's first-and-foremost a soft-spoken internet film critic.

The closest the Nerd got into the kinds of issues Nooky Bear works himself into a frothing rage over was in his NES X-Men review where he commented on how a teacher thought X-Men was sexist because the title didn't include women, and the young nerd replied...

now i think tom preston's just plain sad.

he doesn't really deserve to be called a webcomic artist imo. just a twatter.

I've kinda been jaded forever on canon pairings of that sort. On one hand: I'm happy it's actually getting any sort of coverage or attention (hell, as far as my own favourite pairings go, very few are straight, mostly because the characters involved in said pairings can lead to cute or funny situations) but on the other hand, it's sometimes hard to tell whether or not it's pandering (we'll see in Korra's case if they go ahead with those comics) and honestly, I cringe when people gloat and sjws are fucking useless for anything BUT gloating. If I was to nail down my most hated human trait it'd be Gloating/Egotism by a mile.
