This. We can't just ignore the psychological aspect of this kind of relationship. It's not as cut and dry as "Becky takes the abuse because she wants Wommart cartoon T-shirts". Of course we can't put ourselves in an enabler's shoes, we've never been there. I'm sure Becky and the loved ones of those people on M600PL couldn't relate either before they found themselves in that role.

Becky is not blameless, nor is she that great of a person. Is she taking advantage of Amber's income? Given her history, it's more than likely. How the fuck does anyone draw blood from the top/side of a forearm?

Right? Not only is the bruise towards the outer side of her forearm, the bruise isn't following a vein (when you get bruises from IVs, it bleeds following the vein that was punctured. Her bruise is perpendicular to any vein in that area).

From the position and orientation of the bruise, I suspect it was the compression point to get the veins to pop (sorry I don't know the name of the thing in English), and as many suggested, the blood was drawn from a vein on her hand.

I strongly doubt it. AL mysteriously lost her driver's license somewhere years ago, so Becky's the one who would have to get insurance for the car and provide proof of insurance to the dealership. No dealership is going to finance someone with no bank account or identification. She doesn't make enough money to outright buy with cash, even for the shitty Hyundai, and a large cash purchase starts setting off flags at the IRS anyway.

I feel like this discussion has jumped the shark. You can draw blood from just about anywhere on the arm if there's a vein there. It's not rocket surgery. I'm the first one to believe that if Hamber's lips are flapping, she's lying- but this seems kind of stupid to endlessly fret over. The bruise could easily be the site of the blood draw.

What interests me is that she was so proud of her blood letting bruise, but we didn't see anything like this to confirm that she had labs with the magical singing doctor. I find it hard to believe that she had any lab work done. I think Dr. Singer must have ordered labs, but either she couldn't afford them or she straight refused them, but to get that script she must have at least pretended to go along with the idea.

MRSA is the more severe form of it, but it can turn to sepsis very fast so it can be a major concern.

What I hate here is that she's so flippant about it. Her skin has got to be paper thin at this point and any small tear and she could easily contract cellulitis. It's not like they live in the cleanest conditions.
