Labeling those who use social media and other technologies to incite violence as domestic terrorists would give tech companies the legal leverage they need to take down their content or block them altogether. Without legislation, we are left with competing, if not fuzzy, ideas about what constitutes acceptable and unacceptable forms of hate speech.
There's. No. Such. Thing. As. Hate. Speech. In. The. US. It. Is. Free. Speech. They really don't get it.

Also:
Although the organization describes itself as "non-partisan", its policy views have been characterized as liberal or left-leaning. The New America Foundation has been criticized for its perceived close ties with Google, including its decision to fire an employee who criticized Google as a monopoly. The organization, however, has denied improper influence.
I sure trust you, Mr. Unaffiliated writer.

>"The First Amendment applies only to the government..."
oops.
Thanks Blue Wave!

You see this even with Muslims in the US, I've seen a particularly lol worthy Muslim claim that it's somehow difficult for Muslims to run for office because they might have to put aside their religious values for secular laws or some shit.

Tough shit. If they don't like it they shouldn't run for office in a secular country and, frankly, should go the fuck back home to some medieval shithole more to their liking.

Specifically, Marsh v. Alabama stated that a company town could not prevent an individual from distributing religious materials despite the fact that they owned the property in question; it's more generally been understood to imply that the more you open your private property to the public, the less ability to have to restrict constitutional freedoms on that property.

Marsh has been consistently whittled down over the decades since it was written, and it is very unlikely to be expanded to some kind of general rule that private companies can't kick you off their services for pretty much any reason or no reason, except possibly generally impermissible reasons like your race or other protected classification.

Get a fucking VPN.
Anybody who wants to go to 4chan should be using one anyway.

Gookmoot has blocked most VPNs at this point.

lmfao, NZ police "maintain" that they were in the scene in 6 minutes after the first call, but that's total horse shit since he was in there for a solid 9 minutes shooting in front of a witness on the street (who possibly called the police as soon as the shooting started) as seen in gif related

Source of the gif is from my arsehole, NZ Police you incompetent drongos
It takes a long time for the tactical team to gear up

Repeating the question I asked in my thread (before it got merged into this one), why is New Zealand and Australia so hellbent on censoring the mosque shooting video? More people died in 9/11, Columbine, and much more, and video footage of those exist, so why aren't videos of the mosque shooting allowed?

I think it's because this video was made by the terrorist, and the shock value of the video itself was intended to spread terror, so by that logic spreading the video around is helping him spread terror.

On the other side of things. There is one notable critic of Islam, Imam Mohamad Tawhidi. Who sees Islam as fundamentalist in nature, and that it needs to be modernized as the other Abrahamic faiths. This has caused the Islamic community to threaten him online and in the streets.

He makes a call for sanity and discussion. But when everyone including the media and politicians are against you, I suppose it must be like talking to a brick wall.
Not going to lie, kind of like this guy. When we are talking about the "islamic community" threatening him, we are not talking about imams and religious leaders from the UAE or Middle East (he does get it, but rarely). The people who threaten him are people in the UK, Australia, US, and not religious leaders, but lawyers, bankers, muslims who work in professional jobs. He calls people out for their shit.

The Sunni Muslims, no surprise, fucking hate him, and would butcher him if they ever got the chance. Then again, they would butcher any Shia'a given the chance, and probably vice versa.

Hate speech laws are invariably crafted with enough gray areas to drive a whole agenda-laden truck through. Odd, that.
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Edit - accidently quoted multiple times

The only real "murder training simulator" I'm seeing in the guy's Steam list is Rising Storm 2, and he didn't even have enough hours in it to have gained any real life benefit to his tacticool operator skills. Now if he had like 100+ hours in Rising Storm/Red Orchestra, maybe you could argue he might have learned a thing or two about clearing rooms, utilizing cover, fire/maneuver, etc, but he had less than 5 hours.

Luckily the kiwi PM is a stronk woman who will not name the devil, will ban assault weapons and is brave and powerful because she will not name the herostratus, that will show him, wish she also changed NZ flag to a FB macro, but I guess we'll have to wait few more years for that, everyone clap pls

I had a thought earlier. If Kiwi Farms gains more traction in the media, how long do you give it before the lolcows start stampeding and line up to tell their tales of woe to any reporter that will listen? I don't think she'd talk to media, but I'm sure Virgo is having a party over the cops finally cracking down on her arch nemesis. If it happens though, who do you guys think would be the first cow in line?

The last article you linked said that all these things done under Sharia law aren't valid in the eyes of the state and are simply personal decisions, including divorce. The middle article states openly that many other Muslims disagreed with his proposal to introduce Sharia law to parts of the legal system, including those on the council. Australia rejected it on all counts. I think you're overblowing this a bit.

This definitely isn't a new thing, New Zealand and Australia have long been pretty censor happy.

News.com sites have been spinning all kinds of outright lies about us. They don't suddenly become more reliable when talking about people you don't like.

I think part of it is also that the video is something he recorded himself, instead of news organizations.

Footage filmed by bystanders and survivors is shown all the time. News organisations often contact those in the middle of attacks wanting their footage while the attacks are still in progress.

Combination of "oh fuck, this has never happened before, we need to act", the ability to use this as an excuse to crack down on privacy and gun rights, and as many Farm members have speculated, to cover up the absolutely shocking time it took the police to get their ass in gear and arrest him.

My view is a combination of cracking down on privacy and gun rights, as well as a "cavalry arrived late" response. They were so shit in their response and arrest of the shooter that they need to put on a show of force and look like they are doing something, even though they easily are going have him in prison. You see this a lot when the police arrive after the commission of a major crime. They block off roads, cause headaches for citizens, and cause a nuisance, even though a large deal of it isn't necessary.

Seriously, they don't need anything, they have got him, his manifesto, his recording, and he's sacked his lawyer. They will want to do some investigation into the chans and here, but they've got him.

Totally agree, I want to know who's whispering in these people's ears.

Lets face it, most of the people who make and pass laws really have no clue. Like the drug laws here, theyre written by people who probably havent even sparked up a fatty and watched the clouds float by yet they can dictate to me and enforce thier personal uneducated views.
