Josh is far more tolerable in Re:View where it's less about jokes and more about knowledge of the film. There's less momentum for him to bring to a screeching halt.

Jack grew on me over time. Especially after seeing him in the Grabowskis and BOTW Star Wars Holiday Special, he does a great job in those.
I like Jack because he's got this sort of homespun vibe to him. It's obvious there's more to his life than just pop culture movies, which is refreshing because every two-bit critic nowadays is just some fucking manchild.

Good ol' farm boy with a wife and kids. Does this shit with mates for some fun and pocket money.

For instance, I'm fairly certain he's the only RLM boy who's successfully spawned, which is more than 90% of online film reviewers can say.

Sorry but I just couldn't get into the Suspiria remake. So much of the talking and meandering could have easily been cut out.
And again, I thought it was incredible, but I can totally see why people wouldn't like it. Even Jay said people who normally like art-horror movies were polarized.

I remember watching the Shovel Knight episode of Previously Recorded and he talked about how his kids started drawing the characters after he played the game with them. I thought that was a pretty sweet story.

There was another one along those lines that was both heartwarming and hilarious. He had taken his kids to one of the Disney Star Wars movie, and when he asked what their favorite part was they described a commercial with R2-D2 in the trailers.

That was actually Jim from Canada, not Jack Packard.
