Sidetrack a bit. But I hear the creator of the manga got pissed when people tweeted at him a clip of the show in English and he had a Twitter rant about it. Not sure if they exist? But it would be nice to find them given Japanese people can get angry in another language.

If that's true, I'd be pissed aswell. They made him look like he wrote a pedophile as a good character and part of the extended cast, and they ruined a running joke where when she lusted after the kid near the company of others it were to awkward to tell her that, so nobody did

Twitters been banning midgets that play young girls in pornos after that big kerfuffle with the pedo network story. So it's not really surprising. Plus with the news of investment from China, everyone wants to be on their best behavior. But I wonder if they'll be dropping minority representation, since that doesn't really fly with chinese audiences?

Amanda Lee is a fading star and she knows it, especially in Persona. With how stupidly successful 5 is, I don't see Atlus mi.lking 4 all that much anymore. Q2 is already confirmed to have no English dub and other characters seem to be picked up for crossovers more than hers. Besides other female Persona VAs aren't as autistic as her and seem much more pleasant to work with.
Kinda sad how a decent voice talent has been demoted to sperging out on Twitter and reviewing CBD on Youtube.

Honestly, Lee was never really that great. She had basically one voice, and it was that of a spastic teenager. Rei was the exception, and pretty much anybody can do that voice.
I know some people have nostalgia for the Eva dub, but mid-90s ADV was NOT that great. Dubbing has gotten so much better. Unfortunately, the people behind the voices seem to have gotten more exceptional.

You say that, but the Kobayashi-san dub was abysmal. A lot of current dubs sound extremely amateur compared to some of the greats like Brotherhood, Death Note and Cowboy Bebop.

Well, obviously there are still shit dubs, but NONE of what you listed was ADV, and all of what you listed was post-Eva. I was specifically talking about ADV not aging very well.
Bandai did Bebop, and it's one of the first dubs I can remember that was better than the Japanese (Pioneer did some good stuff earlier too, but I missed a lot of it because I never really cared much for AIC).

As for Ghostshell, I think the claim is bogus. But it does show a bit of a double standard, since no one called Jamie a rapist even after an unsubstantiated claim, while Vic got crucified.

China loves censorship of all sorts and spying on people so they're a good fit for Twitter. Unfortunately they aren't very sex positive so fanservice of any sort is banned along with all those Twitter feminists who like to call themselves sluts and talk about prostitute's rights.
