They fled the Islamic State (IS), agonising in the East of Syria, motivated more by hunger than remorse: Chloé and Chaïma, two French women met by AFP are ready to come back home, but without sacrificing their rigorous Islam, and to be judged their fairly, not like "animals".
Behind the fence of the immense refugee camp Al-Hol in the province of Hassake (North-East), the young prisoners, whose names have been changed, are draped in a long niqab that only shows their eyes and flanked by three dirty, little children.
Just like the some 500 other female foreigners that came these past months, they are followed closely by members of the Kurdish forces on the dry, ocher plain: captured in the last villages held by the IS along the Euphrates, they are being suspected of having kept its radical and violently anti-Western ideology (
no shit).
From the start, they warn the AFP team that they will not provide any detail allowing to identify them to avoid seeing their names broadcast and their families stigmatised in France.
The more talkative one, Chloé, 29, is from the Lyon region and aims to send a message, her bright blue gaze fixed on her interlocutors: "We aren't animals. We are human beings. We have a heart, a soul, that's it".
(no, they are animals. And they behave as such, rutting in the dirt with crazy fanatics).
A week ago, AFP had already crossed paths with her at the exit of the village of Baghouz, where the IS is still entrenched in its last stand.
Each knows that in France, the government hesitates to repatriate women and children of jihadists, a sensitive topic in a country still deeply scarred by the terror attacks committed since 2015. With an even more suspicious outlook on those that have accompanied IS up until its last retrenchments.
To live (her) Islam"
"We didn't agree" with the IS fighters, affirms Chaïma, some thirty years old, who fled two weeks ago with her husband and her children to surrender to Kurd forces.
"But we couldn't say anything, we had to stay silent", she says, her voice tainted by a light Southern accent.
Chloé joins in: "The IS fighters scared us, they told us "We will kill you, rape you"." She says she fled with the help of a people smuggler for $50 (44 euros).
After these last weeks of anxiety, surrounded by Kurds, avoiding bombings, and without any food to give to her 3 children, Chaïma says she wants to come back to France, notably for her family.
Chloé too, but with one condition : that she could "live (her) Islam freely, and with (her) children."
(just look at that level of entitlement, that thot actually thinks she's in a position to put any conditions for her return. She should be begging, on her knees, to be forgiven by the French, not turn her nose up and make demands)
Her voice suddenly more tired, she tells how she lost two daughters, aged two years and a half and six, in a bombing a year and a half ago.
But no spirit of vengeance, she assures, considering that her extreme suffering prevents her from: "My children have been killed, it's not tomorrow that I will go and kill someone".
(But what about the day after tomorrow? That part really doesn't sound convincing to me, especially when that British thot motivated terror attacks to be exactly in a spirit of vengeance, which all these brainwashed cultists follow and obey).
"Snatching our children"
What is true in the tales of these two French women? They provide uncheckable details about their journey, their marriages, their life, described as pacific, with their husbands working in civil posts, a classic among IS prisoners.
Un eclectic tale where they express at the same time their letdown about the IS, first seen as an ideal to "live one's Islam freely" but that ended up "executing a lot of people for nothing, without proof, even Muslims", says Chloé.
But they also keep themselves from condemning the Paris 2015 terror attacks. "People that did that wanted revenge" for French bombings in Syria, she explains.

They say to be guided nowadays by two things: the persisting attachement to a rigorous Islam and the protection of their children.
They already fear what is in store for children born to jihadi once they come back to France, that they would be separated from their parents since the latter will be arrested for their belonging to the IS. (
They make it sound so unjust. Like "omg the government is after our children, they're gonna place them with CPS, not with their loving families" when we're talking about criminals. And they should be afraid. I hope they never see their children again, should they come back.)
"They will snatch our children, put them in centres or host families, they will be separated from one another and grow up in a way that contradicts the education we want to give them", worries Chloé. "There is a lot of things in France that are against our religion, like homosexuality for instance. That's forbidden in the religion".
(Don't let gay Muslim activists hear you say that, fucking thot).
They also hope that, should they return to France, they would get a light sentence. "I hope that we will be judged equitably, case by case, not for everything the group has done," says Chloé.
Chaïma wants a "prison sentence that's not too long, that can be converted" to allow her to "enjoy her kids" because "they're the only things left to me," her husband having been arrested as well.
Without a doubt a pious wish: last year, a French woman judged in Paris for having lived with her 3 kids in Syria in 2015, where she married a member of the IS, had been sentenced to 7 years in jail.
