All SJW-isms that you just know some neurotic, would-be authoritarian, control freak womyn or troon with neon hair came up with solely so zhe would always be right and you would always be wrong.
Anyone who takes terms like "mansplaining" seriously should be laughed at until they commit suicide.
But you know what I can’t stand? Referring to people as “bodies”, like “violence against black and brown or trans bodies” or whatever. Why do people even do this?
I think it's an attempt to get you to visualize something concrete instead of the abstraction called up by a phrase like "black people." It's emotional manipulation, basically.
Also, "bodies" don't have agency. People do. Progressives think everyone is an oppressor or oppressed, and they think all minorities are agency-free victims, so... "black and brown bodies."
aren't we supposed supposed to avoid judging people by their color - or lack thereof - now?
No, that was what that wanted for the last 70 or so years since the Civil Rights era. Now they want the exact opposite for totally valid reasons. Try to keep up, bigot.
All these words are overused and lazy ways to express ideas. It seems like everyone relies on these words to stay with the times and appear smart (especially problematic)
That's because they're terms that started on far-left college campuses. SJWs are trying to borrow the intellectual cachet of academia... without recognizing that fewer and fewer people respect academics because of their silly, extreme leftist ideas.
Triggers - As I've seen discussed elsewhere on the 'Farms, mentions of triggers and trigger warnings make me think of items that could unknowingly disturb a victim of PTSD or other traumatic experience. To trivialize the concept as a list of stuff that merely makes someone uncomfortable is a huge disservice to those trying to cope with the aforementioned traumas.
Similar to the above, "trigger" is a real psychological term that has been appropriated by SJWs to make them and their stupid ideas seem legitimate.
Can somebody tell me why 'yes queen slayyyyyy' is a thing? I really, really hate it.
It's from gay culture, and progressives think gay people, by virtue of being gay, are morally and otherwise superior to normal straight people.
Oh yeah, and "fake news" or "alt-right."
I never even heard those terms before Current Year.
"Alt-right" existed as a term before the '16 election, but it was mostly a self-applied label by loud and proud white supremacists, white nationalists, and others in that small orbit. Hillary Clinton redefined it in a campaign speech into a slur to mean all of that plus Trump-supporting, non-establishment, right-of-center voters.
"Fake news" was literally coined by the mainstream news media after Trump's election to denigrate all non-MSM news sources. Trump reversed it and used it against them, and now they pretend he made it up.
