right i get that part but what i meant is you have 2 ways of giving a streamer money via twitch: bits and subs. I am fairly certain bits is the muchg cheaper way of doing it. As in, to give a $1000 in bits to a streamer costs like $1200. To give a streamer $1000 in subs costs $2000 with tier 1. This guy gave him tier 1 mostly first before switching to tier 3. even tier 3 i think costs more to pay the streamer than bits.

Effort. Giving loads of money requires more clicking with bits. You can only send $250 at a time.
 
Because of the bit limits mass subs are the only way to splash cash all at once.

Also, since it makes a much larger fuss in chat to see all those subs roll out than to see one line of cheer.

And for anyone but Phil who had regulars they'd remember who was so nice and give the purchaser some popularity on top of the attention itself.

Its easy enough to understand the appeal to whales.

I missed this, this might mean that emerald_seven is NOT the guy from YT....... the emeraldseven who follows phil is spelled the way the one that commented on his YT is spelled. and from 2013 jives with the long time yt viewer.

makes me think even more this emerald_seven is related to the local web design place and some tut op
 
I imagine Emerald Seven or some variation on that would be a fairly common name among Sonic autists, no? There's no proof that guy who left that YT comment (who I assume is the guy who's Hangout page is up there) is even the same guy, is there? I say leave him be. With a Sonic based username he's bound to be a degenerate piece of filth who gets a chubby at the thought of sending detractors into a frenzy anyway, let's not add to it.

He'd possibly made the "emeraldseven" account in 2013, made the "daringvisionary" account when he couldn't get into that old one, and then renamed it to "emerald_seven" once he began to actually use it.

This Sub-Forum's been slapped twice for revealing information gathering. The first time was with tutankhamunnn speculation, pretty much what we're doing now. I think the second time was (hopefully) a misunderstanding, but it still doesn't look good. I just don't know how much is too much, ya know? There's already info on here. Does it need to be hidden while things are still indefinite? I'd asked a staff member about this on Saturday, and I'm still waiting to hear back (I could ask in the Talk To Staff section, I guess).

Let's rewind the clock back here as people are missing something very important.


Not too long ago a DSP Scandal happened when an email was leaked where phil went into great detail about getting money via western union and privately. Specifically he wanted that person(or anyone doing mass donations) to give him the money after January so that it would not be added to his 16k taxes owed. He could avoid having to pay more. This would benefit DSP. Now let's fastforward to the present. A suspicious donator appears and starts gifting subs in large quantities and continues to do so. It has been confirmed that DSP will not get this money until after January due to how twitch pays out.

I could be wrong here but I think our suspicious friend is not a detractor and looking to help phil and definetly keeps up with What is posted on DSPs kiwifarms section.
