[14-Dec-2018] The Appearance of emerald_seven - Tut 2.0?

As scummy dsp is, im amazed how low twitch went. I mean... im sure they watching this and saying "let the money roll in, nothing suspicious here"

Just to note it here in case any super sleuths are investigating, "emerald_seven" did a name change on 12/14 right before gifting all the subs and was originally known as daringvisionary on Twitch.

I'm really baffled on why Pigroach never gets flagged when shit like this happens given how this screams of money laundering or something equally skeevy to me. I mean, a doubling in subs and creating burner accounts just to do this? The fuck dudes?

I don't even have any compliments to this person I'm already forgetting the name of; at least Tut was funny.
Twitch doesn’t give a fuck, that idiot game them over a 1K today. People on twitter had pics of a twitch mod that showed up and said something like “just wanted to make sure dark gets all those subs”

They all know their site is based around losers blowing money on silly shit like emotes and badges

It just occurred to me that this Sub-Section has been warned twice about revealing information gathering on someone, so maybe give me or @actually a heads up first if you have something on Emeraldseven. We'd run it past a higher up so we don't have to all get called "DSPergs" again (if you want more direct advice, you could just post about it in the Talk To Staff section, I guess :/ )

Hmm, a 13-month-old account, follows no one, no followers, has never said a word in chat.

There's "emerald_seven", the 13-month old account that did the gift-subbing:

Then there's also "EmeraldSeven", an account made in 2013 that also follows Phil:

It's more of a theory in the main thread, but seems relevant to post here. It seems very unlikely Phil or Kat are buying the gift subs just to artificially boost the channel. With Twitch subs, the streamer only gets half of the income, so Phil would ultimately be losing money. I think it is safe to say willingly losing money is out of character for Phil, especially if he isn't making a big deal of bragging about it when it happens. He barely even reacts at all, and with how often he pushes for tips instead of cheers/subs, I think that has more to do with him trying not to lash out in annoyance at the $1000+ dollars going to Twitch instead of him as opposed to him knowing the subs were coming.

After Tut, Phil has even said that mass subs like that is ultimately bad because it makes people less encouraged to donate, so there's that greed factor to consider as well. I also don't think Phil is smart enough to play the long game and create an account months ago just for gifting subs, especially since I don't think the option to mass gift subs even existed 13 months ago, not to mention the dude in question showed up in YT comments a few years back.

I'm personally betting on another Tut situation. It is worth taking note of, especially if more gifted subs come in, but I wouldn't expect too much from it. Hopefully, if nothing else, it leads to Swaggins feeling even more emasculated and Phil trying to spin in a week or two how getting 200 or 300 or whatever subs is actually totally bad for him and now he needs even more money you guys.

This is actually great. Now that Dark has over 1000 subs, he can't go on full beggar mode anymore because his fans will think that he's actually doing good and that his channel has grown a lot. Try explaining to your fans that your bank account is empty and you can't pay your bills when you have over 1000 subs on your channel. Dark is gonna have to change his story again, going to look like a complete hypocrite once more.

Dark mentioned he was going back and forth via "12" people via e-mail to make donations. The guy who wanted the signed statue was never confirmed as a troll/fake. On the contrary Dark was asked during his "totally chill" minecraft stream if he heard back from the guy and dark basically said it could still happen but he isnt banking on it until it happens or something like that. Sounded like the guy replied back saying he wasnt a troll and was serious, but hadnt given him any money yet.

I am somewhat suspicious this emerald cuck could be that guy..... dark said at one point this was another guy who didnt watch him on twitch but enjoyed his YT videos. (This guy fits that bill, it was found that he posted something positive on a dark video from 7 years ago). he also told this guy the donation would need to be made public, etc. in darks mine, gifting a ton of subs or cheering or tipping on a stream would be considered public and in darks mind that would be enough and he wouldnt need to tell everyone it was one of the email people.

now ofc where my theory falls apart is that dark would never let this guy send him subs for the big donation, ever. for the obvious reason. HOWEVER, what if dark said something about making a donation on stream and they never got into the details and this idiot who doesnt know how twitch works thinks he is giving dark $5 per sub.

Now where my theory really comes together is Dark clearly knew about these subs and/or was not happy about them. i had never seen dark so upset about getting money before, he seemed irked. What if Dark recognized the name "emerald_seven" as the guy who emailed him and realized this was the big donation he was getting and was furious that he was losing half of the donation because the guy subbed and didnt tip or paypal.

EDIT: it also explains why the guy changed his twitch name to his YT name right before gifting them all, so that dark recognizes the name as the guy from YT he has been emailing him. thing i cant figure out is dark would have emailed the guy between streams and explained he doesnt get the full $5, but the guy gifted more in the night stream, but then again dark seemed even more unhappy with the gifted subs on the night stream.

Got my noggin a joggin.

Última edición:
My bet its just a fan with a lot of money that wants to help but at the same time don't trust Dark's story or they are a troll. Either way it's too :autistic:

thats until you throw in the sheer retardation and gullibility phils fans are

Even they are not that dumb. Tut already managed to reduce the inflow of funds from other fans when he came in with the big donations, same thing here. I can imagine Phil getting less money than he'd actually get without the subs and ultimately these 1.2k wont amount to much.

This is great for him and all, but he’s only getting around $1k-$2k extra for the month. Phil would have to have this happen essentially every month until April in order to meet his goal.

Remember when tut dropped tons ofngifted subs? And then Dark admitted that all this growth wasn’t organic and ultimately hurt his channel? That other people were actively discouraged from giving? If nothing else, it’s gonna be really funny to see his other begathons fail when he doesn’t get the money he wants.

It could kind of preempt the really random Twitch donators from stumbling on his stream and feeling generous, especially if he keeps that number front facing like you know he will.

Oh man I was totally going to donate some of my Christmas money to Phil on boxing day but now he has 1200 subscribers? I don't think he needs my support he already has 1200 people willing to give him money. Oh well

I believe I was told somewhere that for subs the payments don't process until a month later so people tend to charge back alot easier than if it was just a paypal tip. I feel like if it was an actual fan they would have just donated x amount so it would pop up on screen and impress Phil even more compared to mass sub gifts imo.
they would have gotten more recognition from phil. have phil do prayer hands and thank you a hundred times

Yeah something is up. He just got $1,250 in subs and he is acting like it's another day on the job. Like he was expecting to get the subs. No reaction and barely acknowledges it.

I think he just recognizes it as a Tut 2.0 situation. The gifted subs make it look like he's doing really well to people who stop in only on occasion, but they don't create any lasting growth since the overwhelming majority of people who got the subs aren't actual fans. In addition, if he's even sorta telling the truth about his bank account (massive grain of DSP-generated salt to be taken, obviously), he would have much rather gotten a tip (or tips). Instead, he won't see the money until February, and the person basically split their donation half-and-half between Phil and Twitch.

I'll go ahead and confidently predict he'll get a number of large tips right around Christmas just like last year. He plays up the "woe is me" pity nonsense and tards with more money than sense come in and make it rain. The problem for Phil is that he needs to have that happen repeatedly, and it just won't.
