There are a fuck ton of pharm discounts to lower the cost of his meds. Generic meds knock a chunk off the name brand cost, too. Some of the discount card peeps even mail the cards to you for free. Not living beyond your means really helps as well. In addition to, y'know, having a nonart job that's not dependant on your shitty reputation and attitude.

- If anything it's easier than before to get help with your meds, as most doctors will renew your scrip when the pharmacy contacts them regarding a refill. Not to mention the doc will probably know about some of those med discount cards I mentioned earlier.

With how much Eevee is bitching about being unable to do anything without amphetamines seems like he has an addiction. It's not impossible to do things if you really have to when you have ADHD/ADD sure it sucks but it's not like you're a fucking idiot incapable of anything - also having a supportive partner to help you through is great but their relationship isn't anything close to supportive for anyone involved. I guarantee you he's the kind of person to take amphetamines whenever he wants to just work a shitload instead of like a normal person for what it's meant for.

From the sound and sight of floraverse, eevee probably IS consuming a bag of dicks, rather than getting meds.

But joking aside, I am not sure how this always becomes an issue. Medicine, especially ones that you know you need, should be top priority even if it means living on cheap ramen noodles for a while.
This isn't the first time he ran out either. You would expect him to learn from this, but then you see his history of learning from mistakes and you understand.

Of course, the addiction theory is very plausable as well.

Depends on what type of medication you are using. ADD/ADHD medication is usually given in pills that have shell that release medication slowly over long time. Most are once a day sort (affect time something like 10 h) because well you have condition that makes you have hard time organizing and remembering but medication for can be shorter time periods too. This is especially common for kids medication to avoid having too large swings of medication affects.

Even generic ADHD medication can be out the ass expensive, and is an absolute pain in the ass to get. Spending >$300 for a month’s supply of generic shit is normal, and that’s with insurance (though it can absolutely be cheaper if you have it). I’ll also add that you usually can’t get more than a couple prescriptions per doctor trip, and since you HAVE to see the doctor each time you need more prescriptions (not to fill them though) every time, the exorbitant cost of meds + the doctor bills from the visits add up. Especially if you don’t have insurance (and I doubt he does).
