Usually these things are masturbatory self-indulgences for the YT community featuring a lot of e-celebs. They start off with PewDiePie declaring "YEAR REWIND" and then showing some dumb shit for the fans.

This one
  • Starts with Will Smith (who isn't a YouTuber).
  • Has Ninja (who isn't a YouTuber).
  • A Fortnite gag.
  • No PDP because he said the word NIGGER.
  • A bunch of people no one cares about.
  • An entire two minute long scene celebrating diversity, women, and non-whites.
  • Locked chat with the people in the video watching it together and live commenting with the most cringe inducing shit I've ever fucking seen.
Currently it's at about 70% dislikes and sinking. The comments are tearing it to shit. For all the talk of diversity, one commenter from Brasil pointed out that there are no Brazilian YouTubers present. Sorry menino, you faggots don't wear hijabs and don't hate Trump enough. Better luck in 2019.

i need to get used to the overwhelming feeling of "what the fuck was the point of that" when i witness pointless productions like that video in this current age.

i feel naive about the fact that most people watch pointless shit like this religiously these days. what am i missing? is there some secret code i am too dull to unravel?

perhaps i am overdue for my own oblivion for my ignorance. that must be it.

Telling you to follow them on twitter and instagram for a chance to win a $100 gift card then finally a really shit video of them being exceptional and overreacting to everything. Then reminding you to smack that like and subscribe button with them pasted everywhere on the screen to make sure you get the message.

Well, the only good thing about this rewind is that the animators were at least shown more promptly than last years, where they were squeezed into the ending. But that's it. Nothing else.
