Funny thing is he's right about not doing it that often -- but only when he does sponsored streams and knows that Twitch or the sponsorship people are watching him. Then he goes an entire stream without a single snort. I'm sure the mold he probably has in the ceiling isn't helping, but he does it mainly because he's an obnoxious fucking pig who doesn't have to avoid bad habits like that since he never leaves the house.

I don't remember what DSP Tries It, it was. I think Tevin noticed it in one of his videos where he goes through all of Phil's old videos. But you can see him in a window reflection and he does it over the item he's setup to review. So yes, he lives in a constant state of T-pose.

I swear, Phil is actually more delusional than flat earthers... How he can take what his daily stream is after that travesty on Thanksgiving and brand himself as SUCCESSFUL is a fucking joke.

I can confirm what Phil says is true about D-tractors entire existence depending on his continued (totally free and non-reliant on your money) successful, chill and shill streams. The last time he took a few days off in a row I was looking through some old photos from the last Alotta Toxic Peepul Convention (a very real thing you know) and well..

By his own internal logic I do actually think he still considers himself successful. It's not really based on
exponential growth or anything of the sort though. More down to the extremely narrow view of his own situation, coupled with being bone idle and also because of the simple fact that regardless of his schizo "Monday I was struggling I needed Kat to rub my belly/Tuesday was amazing guys Kat rang the dinner bell twice so I got to eat leftovers!" - people are in fact still giving him enough money to (sort of) feed the lifestyle. This alone seems to be enough to qualify as successful in his head. It doesn't really matter if for 14 out of his 16 hard working hours of the day, the inside of his head is a 50-car pile up of taxes, trolls, tevin, tanking patreon and ticking timebomb twitter meltdowns that might just possibly get heat from a vidya journalist or danger hair freedom fighters.

Did you know he makes DOUBLE the median wage for a US household? BY HIMSELF!

He is, on the one hand, quite successful; there are tons of popular streamers who would love to be making $100k 10 years in. The number of streamers who have made more money than Dave, lifetime, is probably in the low to middle double digits.

BUT! Just like all those Boomers back in the 90's and 2000's, if you make $100k, but you spend $120k a year, you're MORE broke than a poor person making $12k and spending $12k.

Somewhere on this thread someone gif'd that old commercial of the Keeping up with the Joneses thing where the guy is pretending to be happy with his upper middle class life, while talking to the camera about being in debt up to his eyeballs and put Dave's face on it. Or maybe it was a Snort video?

Anyway, that really sums up Dave's paradox; he IS objectively successful. He makes good money doing what he's doing.

If by successful and we’re talking STRICTLY FINANCES GAINED, then yeah, I suppose he is successful...

But at what cost? He abandoned every friend he’s ever had, and when convenient for him he’ll just rub salt in the wound and throw that person under the bus. He’s done it with Rambo, Howard, Wings, Leanna, etc. He has absolutely NO RELATIONSHIP with his parents... they talk on the phone ONCE A WEEK (I at least text my dad daily) and he probably spouts the same bullshit to his parents about how SUCCESSFUL he is! His relationship with Kat is a fucking joke... She is always working while he sits on his ass playing video games all day long. They see each other for what, an hour a day? They’re essentially roommates at this point. I DO NOT BELIEVE FOR A SECOND that Kat is head over heels for Phil and is working and giving EVEN MORE of her paycheck to Phil. They HAVE NO LIFE. She’s forbidden to have any social media at Phil’s request (because apparently you can’t block or mute people on Twitter nowadays?), I doubt he allows her to have friends over, all she can do is work, chores, and sleep. There is no way in hell that she is happy. The financial issues are just the tip of the iceberg.

But most importantly, and this is a BIG reason I press X to doubt that he is successful... He abandoned shame, guilt, humility, compassion, and most importantly, his dignity. If you read about the Dunning-Kruger effect, you’ll see that it fits Dave to a T. He has this ego where he truly believes he is untouchable and he is perfect, but evidence shows that he is nothing more than one of those monkeys getting quarters in a tip cup, dancing along with an organ grinder.

literal 12k goes towards his bills,utilities and paying all his debt(cc,mortgages,etc)
he need 16k in 4-5 months ON TOP of 12k per month
so around 4k extra money per month
just gonna put there,but hes probably not even get 4k in christmas begging money. how is he gonna get 4k extra every month till april.
people arent made of gold

btw the end result for all this begging will be the ability to refinance the house.....like getting another loan to repay AND he will have to pay more taxes if he gets 16k extra

In total he needs to make 50-60k with in 5 months. But the worst of it is that he actually needs to hit his goal by the end of February, because of the 2 month delay in twitch payout.

To be fair, $12k is extremely generous in terms of his monthly income... He generally gets anywhere between $6k-$10k per month. But most of the time, even $10k is being generous.

Being delusional about your success and capabilities is actually a common trait amongst the hyper-successful.

That's kind of the premise behind the "Peter Principle"

Business-wise, Dave is as successful as any YOutuber could realistically hope to be.

But his personal life is a garbage fire. Because he's a garbage person.

He said he has to show a steady reliable income for over 2 years.
And then he jumped to "Btw I need 16K until April 2019 you st00pid fucks".

He threw so much useless information around. I watched his BEGmergency at least thrice on different sources and I'm still not smarter.

Except I figured out the consequences if he won't reach the invisible goal (16k+ is not a very precise number). He has to sell the house. And then backpedaled to "I can't sell the house cuz I dunno have the money to do it".

I think he needs about 6-8k a month for bills and cost of living, not including taxes. From the numbers if seen here that should be his normal income from twitch+YT+PayMeTon+few cents tespring. Any sane person should be able to budget this income to life comfortable, make credit payments and save for taxes. But mister financial degree isn't able to do that.
