From looking at the statutes, it looks like he didn't harm anyone, at least physically. The child abuse charge includes the possibility of mental trauma, though. So that's good.

Given John's history (sexually), any incident involving him and children is instantly concerning.

Agree. I’m betting he got into some verbal spat with an adult that had a child present and he swatted at it, or said something nasty, or the parent just said so to up the ante. Or he pushed or cursed at a child and the parent witnessed it.

He has a neighbor who hates him, for obvious reasons, so I’d guess it’s something involving her and maybe a kid in her household. He could have just been widely cursing at them from his driveway.

The ADW charge makes it look like he lunged at someone with an object, and a child was there, and maybe he verbally abused or otherwise scared the child. It's a weird charge I've never seen before. Still, of the bail, $5,000 of $7,500 is the child thing so they apparently considered that more important.

Florida has really good public records laws, so the police report is probably going to be public record. There's a reason so many of the dox on Smoking Gun and similar sites are about Florida Men.

Well, he's probably not making bail anytime soon, and his court date isn't until Dec 6th. So, I guess it makes sense to give a motel address.
