Eli seems to be okay chasing muslim ghosts and seems to be surviving on what money Jace sends. So long as Jace keeps sending the islams and he is enjoying his trip, I think Eli is fine.

Dude, I don't know if you can count living as a shack, wearing rags, and yelling at Islamic spy-paragliders as "enjoying your vacation".

On the other side of the coin it seems like he does most of those things back home in MA so who knows. The hash in Israel (they smoke hash not weed their usually, right?) is probably stronger than the weed they grow so who knows he might be having the time of his life.
