thin toilet paper sucks and they suck even more when people try flushing huge wads of them when theres already a waste bucket in the stall in public toilets

bidets also kinda suck since they're ineffective when they aren't super fast, but shit when it's already that fast it just pushes your turd back up

Use bidet for cleaning, toilet paper to dry afterwards. It's a big cost savings on TP. You don't even need to install a full size bidet. There's this water jet thing you can mount onto your existing toilet that you can branch off the water line on your toilet. I forget what it's called, but I bought one from the Japanese import-export wholesale place for something like 100 USD

I installed an add-on bidet on one toilet this summer and loved it so much I got another one.

Of course I still use TP for whatever remainder might be there, but now I don't feel clean unless I go at home.

American toilets were very weird to get used to when I first came to the US.

I honestly thought that American washed things in the toilets just because of the massive amount of water that is in the bowl.

I'd say a bidet is preferable from a hygienic standpoint, but they're a hassle, and they're not commonly installed in most bathrooms outside of Southern Europe.
