Ffs, trap the wild cats, spay/neuter, then release back into their outdoor life.

But yeah, cute kitty, send me money for cute kitty, oh there's more hiding in the house somewhere too, teehee, ps send money for games and lego the kitties.

So he took a kitten from its mom? Such friendship, such empathy.

I was gonna mention that kitten seemed a bit small to be separated at this point. Most adoption places worth their salt won't adopt out before they're 10 weeks or older.

That kitten's probably somewhere between 4 or 6 weeks if I were to hazard a guess. Kittens are usually fully weaned by about 8 weeks typically. This gives the mother cat time to do stuff like, you know, teach them how to use a litter box.

This would probably be an issue for most people, but Chris is already pretty used to slipping on cat shit.

Ugh. Irregardless of my own sad feelings about this, one thing I am sure of is that this kitten is way too young to be away from its mother, no wonder it is a "cuddly sweetie" when it hasn't been weaned properly.

But of course it "chose" Chris, because Chris is the destined CPU etc etc etc.

"he chose me"
What exactly did the cat do to 'choose' Chris?
Was approaching Chris when he had food in his hand enough for Chris to think the cat wants to be his pet? Was it just the fact that it wasn't constantly hissing at Chris?
Or did Chris get a psychic message from Magi-Chan telling him that he read the cat's inner emotions and it totally chose Chris as it's Pokémon master?

Nothing is better for a 75 year old lady than bringing three possibly diseased animals into the home to defecate wherever they please.

Cats deserve better. Chris should stick to unclean animals, like dogs.

Except arguably the cats can leave anytime they want. The Chandlers have always had indoor/outdoor cats. Cats will move on if the place they consider home is not up to their standards. I imagine they'll disappear once the weather warms up again. I wonder how feral the cats are because if you've ever brought in a predominantly outdoor cat they go absolutely ballistic to get back outside.

Fun fact: Chris forgot he ever had a cat named Skittles.

I think Chris will do the bare minimum for the cat, likely going so far as to keep it fed. Not sure beyond that Sorbet looked pretty fucked before he was done. @Marvin do you know how much medical care Chris actually paid for Sorbet? I wasn't sure whether he actually got them attention or just paid for a vet visit and blew it off.

Chris does seem to care about the animals, he's just a shitty pet owner. The more irritating aspect is he took on another critter he's supposed to feed and keep healthy while constantly moaning about just keeping the lights on. I mean, didn't he JUST beg for cat food recently? It's infuriating.

As much as people want to shit on Chris for having animals, he did take Sorbet to the vet when he was unceramoniously blasted from his hiding spot with a hose. Sorbet already had a messed up paw and eye and had breathing problems from possibly being hit by a car. Chris took him to the vet. If he hadn't intervened then Sorbet would have probably perished on his own from his injuries or plucked off by a predator. No one knows if Sorbet actually died. He just didn't come home. Someone could have taken him in because people take pity on messed up looking animals.

I don't think Chris should have pets, but at the very least he does take them to see a vet when he initially plucks them from the outdoors. I can't say for sure if he routinely takes them to update their shots though. He already got pinged for not updating the dogs' rabies shot.

I wonder what he ultimately plans for the rest of the cats, or if the cats are aware of the situation they find themselves in. Perhaps the kittens are actually part of a much large plan to create an ecosystem in the hoard wherein the cats kill the mice then Chris kills the cats. Perhaps the kitten litter outside views Chris as a cruel god who will feed them in exchange for their young. Perhaps the cats are there intentionally and barb put them there so they could reproduce as quickly as she could murder them.

Really there's no ceiling on this.
