And for everyone sperging about how Megan never got a restraining order against Chris...just stop. Restraining orders aren't some magical force field that will keep stalkers and violent exes away. There are far too many women who got restraining orders against their stalker/ex/etc. who still wound up beaten, raped, and/or murdered by them. And Chris already has issues with believing he is above the rules due to entitlement, ego, and Autistic stupidity. Besides, I believe she moved away from any close proximity from Chris, so I'm sure she felt that was enough to reasonably ensure that she would have no in-person contact with him. And if he some how did darken her doorstep again? Well then she's well within her right to show Chris she's armed and tell him to leave her property.

I think they want a restraining order because they know he'll violate it and get in trouble. Lot of people here seem to want Chris in jail or in a group home. Probably the same people who would be sad to see Chris content end for a long long time/forever.

Methinks you and some others here are getting pretty far ahead of yourselves. The chance of Chris approaching Megan now that he knows she's armed is all but zero.

Repercussions from what? Chris trespasses on her property, she tells Chris to leave, he persists, she arms herself and calls the police to tell them a stalker is on her property and she's armed herself because she feels threatened, and Chris either leaves or Megan defends herself. Even if things happened faster than that and she doesn't have time to call the police until after she had to shoot, the fact remains that someone came onto her property uninvited, refused to leave when told, and she felt threatened by that person's presence and refusal to leave her property. There is very little chance of her facing criminal charges in that scenario, restraining order or no restraining order. She has a right to defend herself in her own home.

And I really wish people would stop telling @The Captain to tard wrangle Chris. They have honestly done more than enough to help Chris keep out of trouble. It frankly isn't their responsiblity to babysit Chris. At this point Chris isn't going to follow sound advice and reason, he is going to keep following his happy delusions no matter what trouble it brings him. If Chris is going to ignore the help given to him by The Captain and @Null, and instead keep falling for the same stupid schemes over and over, then it's clear he has no intention of learning and deserves whatever happens to him. I don't want to see Chris tormented, taken advantage of, or hurt, but a lost cause is a lost cause. There's only so much you can do for a person, and you can't waste your whole life helping someone who refuses to help themself.
