Dumbest Gaming Moments You've Ever Had - moments when you were a complete idiot

That time I was playing ''Alpha Protocol" and I had an autistic moment and got stuck on the nightclub boss for far too long and had to hear that goddamn "Turn up the radio" song like 50 fucking times.

My friend and I startled the Witch in Left 4 Dead 2 without noticing that she was right next to us somehow.

I also once had Kimahri use Self-Destruct in the battle against Biran and Yenke in FFX.

And then there was the time a guy on Runescape suckered me into going out into the PvP area under the pretense of treasure. I, being the gullible kid I was at the time, believed him and ended up getting killed and stolen from. I even remember him mocking me for being so stupid.

Got the first Guild Wars MMO when I was younger. First "real" MMO. Joined the first dead guild that someone asked me to. Used to actually roleplay as my character because I thought that's what you were supposed to do in a MMORPG. Thought that all female characters were actually women, etc. I was very naive. Had my world turned upside down when the guild leader told me that despite having a female character, HE was in fact a 53yr old divorced man from Canada that drove a Jeep offroad on the weekends.

The old internet really weeded the autism and innocence out of you quick. Not like the hugbox we have today.

I bought a refurbished PSP from Gamestop. It died rather quickly.

As for a dumb moment in a particular game, I'd have to say when I tried to take on the Elite Four with only my starter being higher than level 50. He was level 100, which doesn't sound too bad, but his moveset had a bunch of low PP moves, like hyper beam. By the time I got to Blue, I was reduced to struggle. I won in the end, but it was a painful experience.

Trying to beat the Chess "Puzzle" in deadly premonition. Took me and a friend an hour to figure out what the hell the solution was.

Before CDPR patched it and made him essential I made a bomb with alchemy and killed the Nilfgardian manservant guy in Vizima just to see what would happen breaking the game and forcing a restart.

The last boss of Dead Space 2. I've fought 20 waves of necromorphs, run out of ammo and died, only to realise that I should've been shooting into the heart, that appears after each wave.

Back when i first got Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, i hadn't quite adapted to how to best play the game. So of course i used my prepromoted units like crazy "Man, these guys start as advanced classes, they must be good" then around halfway through the game i managed to get all but my lords and 6 units killed *the 6 survived because they were not at said battle*

I remember sperging the fuck out when I played Sonic 3. Carnival level where you Jump on the platform that goes up and down and you having to make it go all the way up jump down and run under it. I used to get stuck in that area until time ran out.
