Money Twitter 10/8 - Why Chris won't get a job

I'll take therapeutic socialization over socializing with terrible people.

Edit: Jesus Christ, I swear I wasn't being a shady bitch. I didn't mean anyone personally. It does look that way, doesn't it?
I mean.. It's court mandated socialization. This ain't the baptist church youth group. He shares a therapist with a straight gay pornstar that held his teenage girlfriend hostage in a standoff with police..

Haha I wonder if that guy IS in Chris's group..

You know, I really can't begrudge Chris his $15,600 a year from a government that is spending ~$4,000,000,000,000 this year, much of it on things that are somehow even less worthwhile. He's Barb's cow more than he is ours, because she's jerking off him for money while we only extract entertainment.
The money spent on Chris is actually not too bad if you look at the bigger picture since a lot of it goes right back into the local economy.

This makes me wonder, if his SSDI WAS taken away, would Chris still not care and not get a job?

Probably not. He would rampt up the begging online ten fold if that ever happened. The only thing that might get Chris to wake up and grow would be either Barb dying, Chris losing 14blc and having to pay rent to a roommate, or his therapist finally getting through to Chris that all this delusional bullshit he spews on Twitter on a daily basis is not real, and there's no alternate realities/dimensions.

Through Region 10? I trust them very much. They're a fantastic asset.

The autists with shared interests are the ones that mean Chris the most harm. Fuckers like Wise and Lucas are the types that are going to pull a "slender man stabbing" kinda thing on Chris behind Sheetz.

Nonsense. Chris is very exceptional, and will have huge problems socializing with any group, but he stands a much better chance with an autistic group than he would a mainstream meetup. (I'm not counting brony groups or whatever as "mainstream".)

Yeah I see by his Twitter that they're doing a bang up job.

I'm thinking more about the fact that to get into this little club one must be court certified as a severely mentally ill criminal. That's their term, not mine. These aren't your average autists, the program's own mission statement even says these are people that are being taken out of jail.

I'm sure that guy knows how to show a girl like Chris a good time. :tomgirl:

Rehabilitative services are almost guaranteed to fail, even the best ones. The key element in success is the desire to succeed. Listen, Chris annoys me as much as anyone else, but if he ever got motivated to form the good things in life, he could. If he wanted to meet girls, get a job (even a volunteer one), make good local friends, or just build some important lifeskills, this is an outstanding opportunity to make changes in that direction. He may not, but that's his fault, not the fault of the program.

No wonder Chris has been depressed lately, 20 odd years later and he's back on the short bus with da slow-in-the-minds. I hope he still fights for the front seat.

Chris is an unusual case where he does have a lot of motivation to meet girls and friends, he's just incredibly socially inept due to a combination of narcissism and autism.

I hope this does help Chris realise he needs to personally change to have any real chance of getting and maintaining a romantic relationship (As an example of one of the things he's wanted in his life but isn't realistically able to achieve) but that's :optimistic: to the extreme since if anything he's getting more egotistical, why would a mind as great as Christine Chandler ever need to change? It must be everyone else's fault.

Could that be a Barb thing, an Idea Guy 3.0 thing, or organically 100% Chris?
