Sketch time! Boy am I arting up a storm lately, it seems.

Today we've got Count Graduon. Don't ask me why he's reading the paper in a bath robe and fuzzy slippers, he just is. Being an embodiment of immense power is hard work, sometimes you just have to take it easy, I guess.

Didn't get this week's page finished in time, but it's done enough that you can read it, so I thought I'd post it up before I stop drawing for the night. I'm trying out some new techniques with the word balloons and some of the art, too, and I think it looks a bit better.

Oh wow. Have you seen that Twilight Zone episode, "It's a good life" (The movie version, counts!). I never thought of comic Chris being like the kid in that story, but it really fits.

So, I went back and watched that episode of the twilight zone (the old one, couldn't get a good link for the movie version on its own) and I nearly lost my mind. There's actually a part where the little kid is creating his own "furry creatures", one example being the two headed gopher near the beginning.

Figures the design looks like some obscure supervillain. There really is nothing new under the sun, is there?

Sonichu is so oblivious that it makes him more likable. He's a typical anime hero. But I like that the romance doesn't come out of nowhere. And your art is very pleasing to look at. I can't wait for the colored version.

B-Baron Zemo isn't obscure... he's one of Captain America's greatest villains... he... he... he led the Masters of Evil and also led the Thunderbolts too for a time.... *whimper*

Okay, seriously though, liking the page as per usual. Now with the two being extra cute, coupled with the narration from Rosechu, it's making me think like I'm watching one of those boy-meets-girl movies and I'm hearing like doo-wop/ Motown music in the back of my head. I'm wired weird, I know. Also curious that Rosechu was a boy Raichu... is Rosechu actually for reals a female now or is she a he or gay or... what. *shrugs* Ah well, just keep doing your thing and I'll keep reading.

Sweet baby Raptor Jesus Trickie, you're making Sonichu into a positively incredible character! Or, by the very least, Rosechu's description of him is oddly inspiring. The composition also is ace; it makes you hear different love song with varying levels of cheese in your head!

Tell me about it, man! My first Avengers comic featured the younger baron kicking all sorts of ass with Captain America ending up captured and Hercules dead... ish. The good guys were pwned like I've never seen before! It had a huge impact on my six year old mind.

It's funny, I was just listening to random songs from my favourites mostly because I was bored, and then almost as soon as I started listening to that I saw that Rosechu's Story updated. I started reading it and thought to myself "Hey, this song actually fits! Whuddya know?"

So it was more of an unintentional coincidence on my part, it made the experience really surreal and kind of weird, but it all worked out in the end.

I like the song you chose too though, really fitting mood music. It's probably more of what would actually play if this were an animated feature rather than a comic. (Or maybe an audiobook.)

I'm tempted to make a "Sonichu Sez" to go with the "Who's that Sonichu", but I dunno. I'm not really planning on moralizing too much in this. Neat, finding stuff that fits randomly is like one of the most socially cool and awesome things ever!

In retrospect, and especially after seeing the colored version, I think you J Lo song fits this page a lot better. The fast pace of "Waiting for Tonight" just goes better with the bright daytime colors and Sonichu's speeding. I guess "Rubina" would be more suitable for a later scene during a starry night...

Sonichu sez! Don't trust a clown shirted mad man offering you a monthly tugboat. I know it might be a good deal but it can end in joining a Snorlax's horde. Just say no!

Once again, the levels of amazingness you've managed to give to these two horribly-written characters is outstanding. I'm really starting to find Sonichu rather endearing and the chemistry between these two really works.
