That would be the intelligent thing to do. Pretty sure Phil does the long prestreams because it means less time he actually has to play the game he hates. He'll drag it out as long as possible just to avoid putting in "work."
 
Seems like a shitty way to do a sponsored stream: keeping it a complete secret / NO hype (of course, I mean outside of his normal viewers / detractors). I don't have a business degree tho...
 
I'm assuming this game company is the equivalent of Golden Palace Casino and they work on the "any publicity is good publicity" model.
