I'm not sure. I first heard about it via a short thread on /co/ (I know, I know), but it didn't give any explanation. For now, I'm going to assume it either has to do with expired servers, lack of interest in keeping up the website (to be fair, it has been around since 1995), or that the domain holder wanted to cut ties for the Smurf gorn.

RIP weird Smurf site, fortunate it was archived though thank you archivists. This thread was always an interesting one to me for several reasons, one of which being the simple mysteriousness of the author.

This doesn't add much and I apologize if this has been mentioned previously since it's been a while since I've read the thread, but I just realized some of the images Smurf in Hand created remind me of the Foreverial Tied Up guy's work:

Nope. I don't think anyone was even able to track down other accounts of his on other sites (which is bizarre because deviants of that caliber usually have massive internet footprints). To this day who he is and where he went is a mystery.

I would bet on some fifty-something year old man.
I'd say that he was likely computer illiterate (and thus stuck to his favorite smurf site only), but he made those pictures to go along with his stories too, so who knows. Maybe the Internet scared him except for the smurf site.

Nah, the writing style is very different. The second guy really appears to rely on repetition of certain words and has a much less coherent writing style then Smurf In Hand does. Unless the same guy wrote this pokemon shit 10 years before the baby smurf torture, I don't think they are at all the same author. Same with the art style.

Oh, I agree, they're clearly different. Smurf in Hand was a more competent writer, and Rafe15 had very different content and had his own issues. I never believed they were the same person, I just thought it was an interesting parallel or something.

There's some good discussion in the middle to late part of this thread as to weather or not he really was a :deviant: puppy-torture enthusiast, or just a really subversive troll who saw that instead of smurf lovers screeching in outrage at these horrible mutilation stories they wanted MOAR and he got skeeved out instead of them, or just abandoned the troll attempt.
