Dobson has a wife? Since when did Dobson get married?
Well, you'll sometimes see that red air girl with the curly hair. I just always assumed that was his girlfriend/wife. Googling all over gives me nothing though but I swear at one point proof of her existed.

At this point, I'm fairly certain he's doing this for attention and little else. He knows he'd just be knocked aside and thrown into being forgotten almost instantly, but he knows that by acting like a douchenozzle with an ego bigger than the known universe, he can stay relevant for more people, even negatively.

Regarding that camo, that may be Dobson's attempt at drawing the muck and grime on a dumpster.

The problem with the attempt is that he ended up making it into an evenly spaced pattern, that's why it looks so much like camo. What he should've done is concentrated the grime around the rim of the dumpster where it's most likely to be and spattered it sparingly in other areas on the sides.

You know those insufferably unfunny newspaper comics that have been around since god was a baby, but stick around because of tradition, whilst they usually are alongside comics they aren't worthy of feeding off the tablescraps of? You know the ones, like Family Circus.

Those are funnier than Dobson.

Tom Preston: The living embodiement of the "fedora friendzone NICE GAI!" stereotype.
Funny how it's always the feminist guys that are actually like that.
This self-insert looks like the unholy spawn of Pedobear and Freddy Fazbear.

Not to mention use browns and weird greens in order to make it look actually nasty instead of just lighter and darker shades of the same green. Maybe even have some graffiti on it, even areas where graffiti has been covered up and repainted over. But that takes more effort then writing airhead dialog for the girls and then pretend like he totally didn't do anything wrong on purpose.

...so basically, a girl bear keeping most of his traits is like, 50% less punchable [outside the first panel, which is irredeemable].

I guess that means the whole problem is that he's drawing a man all along.

Dobson is a leech. He reeks desperation and I wonder if he realizes those on his "side" can see right through him.

Regarding his care bear because I haven't seen it mentioned--one (of many) reasons he looks perpetually smug is the way his draws the glasses. The temples of his glasses go all the way up to the ears on the top of his head. So he's always looking down his nose at you no matter the angle or expression.

See how on the parody comic the temples just go out to the side like regular glasses even though there are technically no ears there? Makes a shocking amount of difference (not so much for the intentionally smug expression in panel 1 of the parody comic, but noticeable when comparing both comic's panel 2).
