I'd probably tolerate Dobson's comics a bit more if his art style was more like this. I REALLY like the Dobson Fursona's realistic bear design here for some reason.

I have read the whole thread, and just wow, Andrew Dobson is definitely what an artist should not be. I even came across his comics on a what not to do for a webcomic on tumblr. As an aspiring artist is saddens me that so many artists, especially the ones from DA, let popularity get into their head, turning them into some sort of monster with tons and tons of "fans" working as minions. Is it really that hard to at least act with courtesy toward people, especially other artists?
And the comic Pickle Inspector posted is very true, not just for lolcows, but for everyone. When we want something, we have to work for it. We can't expect to have what we want so easy, otherwise what's the point of wanting it if you can get it so easily? It's still a lesson I'm learning till this day, but I'm willing to work towards changing that.

I think the point of the current bearsona is he wants it to be seen as "cute" in a way to endear himself to the readers. But what Grumpy doesn't realize it's his personality that's so offputting to people.
