What's most disorienting to me is that they seem to be holding the conference in what seriously looks to be an abandoned warehouse or factory of some sort.

Word is there was a man handing out pamphlets about gamergate near the goats. I hope it's bullshit. I mean.. that would mean they really had goats there. Although the fresh scent of shit in the air during these presentations would be pretty fitting.

As far as connections Moot has to the anti-Gamergate thing, Moot's girlfriend works for Gawker media (which owns Kotaku and the other blacklisted gaming sites) and he also made an appearance with Anita Sarkesean at a creepy seminar thingy called "XOXO". Here's some pics of the seminar that draws parellels to the "Third Wave" experiment.

The last pic is actually from a movie called "The Wave" which was based on the Third Wave (except they took quite a few liberties to drive the point home and make it more interesting). The angle is intended. If you have Netflix you should watch it. It's good.

Fitting if it was in a factory, as from what I can see lot's of the indy devs now are just churning out any old crap an hoping it sticks.

I don't game much at all, but I have backed Wasteland 2 and started playing yesterday and that's a example of a good game from a small studio but it's a bunch of professionals who made it, and other games I enjoy playing so I kinda knew what I was getting.

As much as I'd like to say that they're holding it in a normal hotel conference room and someone 'shopped in an abandoned building as a backdrop (pictures of abandoned buildings and factories are everywhere and seemingly easy material for a ), there's some evidence to suggest otherwise--there's a lot of light coming in from the windows (a lot of warehouse/factories tend to have windows running along the upper periphery) and you can see the glare and the shadows on the presenters.

Back on topic, TJ (The Amazing Atheist) A partner to the Amazing Atheist channel made a video about gamergate. I think his channel might be the biggest on youtube to directly mention it (600k subs). I know TotalBiscuit (1.1m subs) has talked about it in bits, but iirc he hasn't done a full video directly talking about it. But with TJ's reputation and past, I think his support will do more harm than good.

They are incapable of coming up with any actual criticisms toward the other side, so they resort to ad hominem to get their point. It's a well known tactic of someone who is emotionally driven in an argument but not logically.

But with TJ's reputation and past, I think his support will do more harm than good.

I highly, highly disagree with this argument.

The fact of the matter is, anyone actually taking the time to go through these points to such a mass audience like TAA's is a good thing. It does not matter if TAA is a controversial figure in the past. He is well known for his hatred of feminists that goes back at least 6 or 7 years. What matter is the fact he's on the right side in this controversy and that he can advertise his points to such a mass audience.

Gamergate should be a movement that everyone can be apart of. Not a movement where we exclude people because they put fetish videos on the internet. It is the SJW's that exclude people due to their inane reasons, not us.
