I think Ben Kuchera is one of the main people I want to see go down in all of this. Zoe is crazy. Let her spend the rest of her life with this shit on her. Kotaku has already been known as a bullshit site to most people who JUST want videogame news. But Ben? His name keeps popping up in all of this.

All this stuff about moot is really too hard to swallow.

Also, the head admin of 8chan is the same admin who got kicked out of wizardchan for getting laid. Small world eh.

Just for laughs, 2 of the 5 top the page headline articles are shit fits over Christina Sommers youtube video. Two separate opinion pieces, on a gaming website that has refused to cover the actual story at all. Journalism!

In regards to this 4Chan stuff regarding Moot,

One can only wonder if this actually does go through, with Moot begging for the user base to come back after purging all mods.

in other news, an advertising site (as in a website/news thing dedicated to advertising as an industry) seems rather amused by gaming journalism's current obsession with shitting on it's users and points out how catastrophically stupid this idea is

always nice to have an objective, calm headed outsider have an informed opinion about issues like these

Aparently IPs are being tracked on 4chan by compromised mods and are being used to harass pro-gamegate people . Avoid 4chan if it's true.

Where did you hear this?

EDIT: After checking the last page or so, why is it that every time I turn my back on this thread something monumental and terrible happens?

Because this is serious business. I swear, if I wasn't already chronically depressed I would need a game like Depression Quest to teach me how to cope from all this shit :story:

It seems that everything in this shit storm is starting to be traced back to Gawker media.
This would actually explain a lot. Gawker is central to this entire fuckstorm via Quinn. Kotaku is one of their publications, and they're involved with Silverstring Media, IGF, IndieCade, Phil Fish, and literally every despicable motherfucker involved with this bullshit since day one. And now they just accidentally nudged the angry beehive that is Anonymous.

And now we know about it. You know what that means.

Gawker Media confirmed for final boss, people. This actually explains also why there was so much fire being directed on killing Gamergate. Let's say this firestorm continues going, and Gawker takes further damage. We know they're taking damage from the boycotts and blacklisting - they stand to lose huge if a push for fairness is successful.

Well Gawker and its various blogs are a hive of Scum and Villainy. I mean even before Gamergate, they've always been scummy. From the hypocritical nature of Jezebel to the Gawker Stalker fiasco.

You know, I have mentioned before that I am not a gamer, like at all. However, I can certainly understand why everyone is so angry about this.

For one thing, I look at this in the merchant/consumer relationship type of way. You are a consumer of games, as in you buy games and play them right? Some of these games cause quite a bit of money, around $60-$80 a game, right?

So you as a customer want to know about each game that you plan on investing your money into, so what way can you find about a particular game? Well through reviews, Youtube videos, general word of mouth kinda thing. So you as a customer depend on gaming journalists to be accurate about a game that they are reviewing and that it's a fair and balanced view so you can make a decision on whether or not you want to buy that particular game. I'm saying that there is a certain level of trust that you place on these reviewers to do their research about a product so now that you found that these gaming journalists have been compromised by the insiders, that is, they use cronyism and nepotism to raise each other up and to review games under bias, that trust has been broken. So now the sites that you depended on are no longer seen as trustworthy and reliable. You as a customer would definitively feel ripped off if you invested in a game that had a lot of hype but found the product lacking when you purchased and played it.

I'm not sure if I'm on the money about this but this is how I see and feel about this whole situation.
