I'm the only one who think that carmella is getting worse and worse since the end of her feud with Nikki?
Is like being paired with ellsworth make her lazy.

  • A source has told bodyslam.net that John Cena is rebounding from his break-up with Nikki Bella by “hooking up with” a member of the Total Divas cast. Ringside News speculates that cast member is Carmella.

Am I the only one who's getting a Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat vibe from The Miz's new red attire?

Well she and Cass broke up so seems plausible.

Sports Illustrated has an article about it:

WWE Fans Left in Droves During the Backlash Main Event

By DAN GARTLAND
May 07, 2018
If you didn’t catch WWE’s Backlash pay per view on Sunday night, you didn’t miss much.

Aside from a top-notch match between The Miz and Seth Rollins that opened the night, the show was a serious disappointment.

Not only were the matches generally sub-par, the show followed the current WWE trend of running way too long. It was a three-and-a-half hour card that left the fans in the arena in Newark tapping out before the end.

WWE made the curious decision to put the Roman Reigns-Samoa Joe match—one of the few non-title matches on the card—as the main event, a decision made even more questionable by the booking of the match. It was a slow, plodding match full of uninteresting holds that would have left fans yawning even if it was almost midnight.

It’s tough to blame the fans for heading to the exits in the middle of the match.

Fans also chanted “boring” and “beat the traffic.” They really weren’t into it.

When Reigns finally got the pin and was announced as the winner, the camera panned to crowd. If you’re a wrestling fan you know this camera shot. It’s supposed to show the fans reacting to the finish, either cheering, booing or in disbelief with their hands on their head. Instead, it just showed how glad they were that it was over. Their first reaction was to get up and walk out.

It’s not Roman’s fault that his match was the one that inspired so many walkouts, but it’s just another example of WWE’s Reigns push backfiring. That match would have been fine on the mid-card, it just had no business being the main event.
Didn't help it was in overtime, show was only supposed to be 3 hours, it went for 3 and a half. People had to go home hence the "beat the traffic" chants.

Is it that Godfrey Ho ninja gear he had at Mania?

So just as a reminder there's a literal world of pro wrestling out there that isn't WWE. If you don't like watching WWE, don't watch it. There's a lot of other stuff.

Impact's been a comfy mix of enjoyable wrasslin with enough lolTNA to have fun but not get in the way. Their cobranded twitch shows with random indies have been fun showcases for different promotions, like on Saturday they had Jimmy Jacobs vs Penta el 0M for the Impact Championship. They've got a twitch channel with lots of back catalog going. Weekly Thursday night Impact is easy enough to find via the onlines through cytube or taima tv.

CMLL has live shows for a couple of hours Monday, Tuesday, and Friday nights on youtube and clarosports. They're traditional lucha libre, and their youtube channel has archives of their past shows shortly after they air.

AAA has live shows sporadically on their twitch for TV tapings, back catalog filler and random stuff in-between. Their youtube carries the TV version, usually a few weeks behind the live events similar to Impact. They're a mix of lucha libre and Monday Night Wars crash TV ala Nitro.

Mexican indies have a sizable presence on youtube between Mas Lucha, Estrellas del Ring, etc and the tons of cams from audience members.

Yeah, reminds me of the gear Steamboat had as he carried his son into the ring.

I watch more NJPW and ROH more than most shows, I just watch WWE to see how far they can fall thinking that nothing can touch them at this point. I should mention the UK has some decent shows, one of which airs on Youtube.

Also...Is it just me or is it a little odd that Miz is imitating the Dragon and the American Dragon in the ring? Is Dragon Kid next?

him and wippleman were the best. popping a kids balloon with a cigar was heat. stump puller is a very underrated finisher. fun fact. he was sid's workout partner

Can any of you guys think of a push that has backfired/stagnated as much as Reigns? Its been something like 3 years now and for the life of me I can't think of any other guy in a company who has been outright rejected by fans so hard for so long.
There's been lots of guys pushed and it goes over like a wet fart but yeah I don't think anybody has been as stubborn about giving up on it as WWE has with Reigns.

I think it may have ruined him. I don't want to dislike him, but at this point I don't think there's much they can do to salvage him. I don't even think turning him heel would work, as fans are just tired of seeing him. Maybe have him go away and do midcard stuff for a year or so, but even then once he pops back in the main event people are gonna boo.

If he pulled a Nash and did a high-profile defection to another company I could see him getting some sort of intended reactions, but yeah they can't even dial him back to one of a trio like he was working well enough as before.

Honestly that would probably work out pretty well. Especially if he was able to reinvent himself elsewhere and eventually come back and not be instantly booed out of the building. I don't think he'll do it though, mostly because I don't think he has that sort of guts to take that chance.

What are your thoughts on TNA?

For Roman? Meh. They've done "I was in WWE but now I'm here" so much that it's basically worthless at this point.

I generally enjoy them. Their Impact / Random Indie coproduction Twitch streams have been comfy af, and I've grown to be okay with Josh Matthews through those "Josh and Sonjay fuck around before and after the show" stuff.

I'm a little biased because it's wrestlers from AAA near me for $20 (or less if I can figure out a way to hustle parking at Universal or something).
I was at the Impact Zone for the last PPV and Pentagon jr's been top of mah fave five since he was Dark Dragon so getting to see him win a relatively high profile world championship live was really great.

I love Pentagon Jr. I got introduced to him on a whole through Lucha Underground, and I just think he's absolutely badass. What are some good AAA matches to watch to get into the promotion?

Hrm... If you have a twitch subscription to burn through Amazon Prime I'd suggest using it on their channel to get access to their backlogs and go for their latest TV taping. It's as good a spot as any.
Their youtube tv uploads got production music some point back and it really loses a lot for me when it's not real music.

I guess the latest Triplemania maybe? It's a confusing pile with a lot of wrestling clowns and finishes with a mask vs mask match.

There's English language commentary but they really don't know what the hell they're talking about so it doesn't help much.

The first hour and half is farting around and a couple of dark matches, but then they have the proper pomp and circumstance for the show's start.

If you know about La Parka there's a lot of fun in the match from back in 2010 of LA Park vs La Parka (AAA) for the right to be the true and honest La Parka.

Some point last year there was a AAA show that ended with literally every single person running out from the back ala Nitro.

Unrelated is a pretty good Dr Wagner jr / LA Park match from five years ago I just watched. Wagner's face, Park's heel. Ref is Hijo de Tirantes, the biggest rat bastard asshole son of a bitch heel ref ever.
Unlike nWo Referee Nick Patrick, Tirantes isn't aligned to any particular heel or group of heels, he's just a dick who ruins everything for the good guys simply because he can. Occasionally heels can rub him the wrong way and he'll ruin everything for them too, especially if they're evil Americans/Canadians against good Mexicans.

Edit: additional AAA stuff
Shortly after Perro Aguayo jr died was this outdoor taping of AAA's weekly TV show.
The crowd is hype as fuck even for Mexico, with noisemaking devices that would only be viable in an outdoor arena.
Then to start shifting into overhype a storm blows in.
for the full show
or if you want to skip to when they hit warp speed go for
That's vs Psycho Circus (face trio of Psycho Clown, Murder Clown, and Monster Clown) vs Pentagon jr, Brian Cage and Texano jr (three heels of no particular affiliation).
The storm is going decently at this point, the match has a lot of talented guys in it (and Murder Clown), and as the clickbaits would say You Wont Believe This CRAZY Foreign Object That Gets Used.

1993-1994 Lex Luger and his Lex Express come to mind.

Take him off television for a few weeks/months.
Flip him heel.
Have him just go out and just angrily demolish people in and out of the ring.
Cut his promo time down by 70-80%.
Have him rip off the Rock and blame the fans for his turn.
Let him keep demolishing everyone like a badass.
Have him go into the Rumble and pull a '94 Diesel.
Badass heels always get over.
Turn him face again a year or so later.
Let him stay a badass.
Don't let Vince handle his promos.
