YT 5/4 - Patreon bucks is low so Chris promises more comic pages - Magi-chan confirmed boyfriend?

Why are so many people here prone to this kind of dumb hyperbole? Yes, Chris could probably get some more money out of his "fans" if he was clever and savvy. Could he ever be "incredibly wealthy" because of Sonichu? I strongly doubt it.

His peak on Patreon was $950, which wasn't sustained for more than a few weeks. But let's be extremely charitable and assume that with smart self-promotion and management and routine delivery of pledge rewards he could DOUBLE that and keep it going. You're looking at about $23k/year. That could absolutely make a huge difference in his life and help move him away from the brink of financial oblivion, but it's hardly a "goldmine" and it completely hinges on the assumption that there are enough people out there interested in Sonichu who would gladly contribute to his Patreon if only he offered more frequent updates, which is not what I'd consider a safe bet.

Be realistic. Sonichu has a limited audience. Normal people do not care about this shit. Chris might be able to make a living off of his weird e-fame for the time being, but he'll never be "rich" by any reasonable first-world standard.
I'd be surprised if he even made that much. Though there are people far less interesting than Chris that make a lot of money.
If Chris was really enterprising he could make a killing on indiegogo by putting his comic book project on there. I'm sure he'd get tons of backers. He can do like diverzity and comics did and hire an artist and a colorist and all chris has to do is come with a story while sprinkling in fucked up details of his life in it. I bet he would make quite a bit.
That's very unlikely. A big part of Sonichu is the bad art and writing. If Chris had additional staff he'd be less involved and Sonichu would be much worse. Sonichu at least before this MLP (and maybe the boring slice of life crap, but even that had its moments) was so bad it was enjoyable. Improving art and writing would make it just bad. You might as well go read the Archie Comics Sonic stuff.

Anyone else think it was pretty funny how Chris avoided disclosing that he got in trouble for trespassing again and has to go to court by playing the whole "not at liberty to discuss" card? Not only that, but how he believes that laying that line on his donators somehow explains everything, makes his months of laziness acceptable, and they should believe that he will actually get back to work on the comic and keep giving him money. I mean, it's not like he always shirks his responsibilities and promises every single time some inconvenience comes in to his life and causes him "da stress".

he's just covering his ass hopeing he get those 900 bucks back

I know. I was merely commenting on how funny it is for Chris to believe that a weak, asinine excuse like that will work. Not only that, but everyone who follows him likely knows he is in dutch with the law again.

I think he's forgetting that he's been confirmed to have been banned from the End Games. Both by his own message and the owner and other customers.

Obviously Chris just wants to get more Patreon money. Of course he's not the only person abusing Patreon either. A lot of people just use Patreon and other donations as a source of free income instead of using it to help with producing content or covering costs of producing content and don't do anything or do very little to thank the people donating.

I would hardly call $900/mo. and selling some random crap "rich". He will eventually run dry on things to sell for decent money that people will buy because of their connection to Chris, and his donors are already cutting back on their donations because he has done fuck-all for months. So, no, Sonichu has not made Chris rich and it likely never will, especially with the debt he is in.

I wonder what Barb is going to do if Chris gets sentenced to 12 months in prison. Is barb able to access the tugboat and patreon funds? if not then shes stuck with only $1,200/ month with $800 going to the mortgage. No way she can pay all bills and buy food with only $400

Rocky will come to the rescue. She's about as gullible as bleeding hearts get.

$1,500 and several thousand dollars are very different amounts. If he's lucky and he actually went back to making commissions and medallions and actually fulfilled people's book orders I can see him making $5,000-$10,000 dollars a year if he manages to keep people interested, but anything over $5,000 I'd say is a pretty generous estimate. He'll never be rich off of Sonichu because his following is relatively small now and the people who actually read Sonichu are much smaller than a general CWC following.

Even among the people here I'm sure there are few people who would spend $200+ on coloured commissions. And only the most exceptional people buy something like the Sonic Totem. You're not going to become part of Christory by giving him $1,500. Nobody will care who you are. They'll just remember you as that rētard that wasted a ton of money on junk for attention.

It's like wasting money on comissionced videos. You're not doing anything but making yourself look rētarded and giving Chris free money to do unfunny shit. Chris doing a bad cover of some random song isn't nearly as funny as him singing over an actual song to record his Christian and the Hedgehog Boys "originals". Getting Chris to do some stupid dance isn't funny either. Just pay Chris for another house tour or something, at least something useful comes from that.

Última edición:
I don't care about what people give to Chris, but if you really think any of this is for "medicine", your as gullible as Chris.
I mean, you can say whatever you want about it, but Barb is old and dangerously ill in some ways, and that requires medication. Anything they can't get for free is going to have to be paid in one way or another. Or do you think Chris is insane enough to tell Barb binural beats will solve her many problems and skip all the meds?

"I wonder what Barb is going to do if Chris gets sentenced to 12 months in prison."

He's only up on a single tresspass charge, right? Seems extremely unlikely he'll get any time at all for that (and definitely not prison time). IMO the only way that'd turn into a custodial sentence is if he does some shit like starts throwing chairs in court or something, and earns himself an assault charge. Even if he was to refuse to comply with whatever fine/community service he'll probably get sentenced to, they'd probably give him at least one more chance before dropping him in county for maybe a month or two.

Even if you stab someone, you're more likely to get 6 months in jail than a year in prison.

You gotta love those prolonged pauses, with his eyes going blank. One can almost hear the axis of the missing cog in his brain spinning.
I was thinking more like the hamster fell out of the wheel.

I'm going with community service.

Now THAT, is gonna be some good content.

"Chris pick up the damn trash!"

"I'm workin' on it!"

That's 400 cheeseburgers from McDonalds.

That's way more than enough. If can Chris can do it, barb can too.
