The funny thing is like @Dr. Studman M.D. said, the race they’ve chosen for their OC cannot be done in the game and literally cannot happen lorewise either. Nightborne are High Elves that shielded their city away for 10,000 years. Death Knights followed or were controlled by the Lich King who came into power 20-30 years ago and he was defeated before the Nightborne even knew what was going on outside their bubble, let alone returned to the outside world.
Either this person doesn’t know the lore or outright refuses to follow it in order to have their super special character.

There is also the little problem that you can’t stop being a death knight. Once you are risen as a death knight, you are a death knight until you are destroyed. I don’t think even the Lich King himself can “cure” someone of being a death knight.

Short of it, yeah typical Mary Sue.

Well, we can at least hope for two things:

Either by the time she's 18 she realizes what an embarrassing sped she was and moves onto greener pastures, or, she continues to be an insufferable idiot and gives us plenty of bad art and temper tantrums to laugh at for threads to come.

Huh, didn't think sjws would give hate for a game that obviously panders to them. Heck the game's not even out.

It literally funny when people forgot what stereotype are basically exaggerated truth. Not anyone fits into that mold but those types do exists especially within the older generation. Even if you avoid that old stereotype, you end up being another stereotype. There no way to avoid a stereotype as a whole.

It's more complex than that, actually. Awakening and Fates are what truly made the franchise popular in the West: up until then the games were there but were a bit of a niche entertainement, and for worse the ones that came immediately before Awakening (two remakes of the first games) flopped spectacularly. Awakening was intended as a dangerous gambit that pandered more openly to anime/animesque games fans in an attempt to either save the franchise or just go out with a blaze, and since it became insanely popular it brought thousands of new people into the fandom.

It worked, but at the high "price" of bringing in lots of annoying people: entitled girls with low self-esteems who cry at the sight of attractive female characters (like our potential lolcow), immature teenagers who project their personal issues on the characters, SJW's who try to take over the fandom by screaming whenever they see something they dislike, newbies who are solely interested in the waifuism but ignore anything else, etc. On the other hand the "old school" fans are just as terrible, if not more: many of them are huge SJW's who hold personal grudges against Intelligent Systems and Nintendo for 'selling out' (especially the chara designer for Awakening/Fates, Yusuke Kozaki, who they call a "pervert" and a "misogynist" solely for the hotter and sexier chara designs), niptick and condemn every single thing under the sun, openly bully and intimidate new fans whether they're annoying or not, whine all day long because the games aren't completely tailor-made to their tastes any longer, worship older games or retro-ones while blasting the new ones and then playing innocent in regards to their sacred cows' shortcomings, etc..

Mix all of that, and there's a cocktail for absolute fandom disaster. The lolcows/artcows featured here are of the "Awakening/Fates idiots" type since these are the most popular games at the moment and the “oldschool wanker” group tends to write pretentious and self-absorbed meta and fanfic in their circlejerking cornets, but in reality there's a bit of everything.

(Sorry for all the word vomit, but there's quite the m.ilk behind this Fire Emblem SJW bullshit and it's quite thick so to say)

It makes sense since these people had also complained about Dream Daddy for not being inclusive enough and having stereotypical characters too. You literally can't win with these people so it's better not to play. I'm actually interested to see if this dating sim is any better than Dream Daddy.

its kinda disencouraging as a content creator that writes “””diverse””” plots to see how quick people are to tear down a franchise the minute it features anyone that isnt white, cis or hetero because they are so hellbent on finding something wrong with it. The ironic part is that they give major blockbusters a pass, or stories that are exactly the thing they complain about all the time, but the second an indie developer or an actual minority creator makes content it has to be scrutinized to no end and nothing is allowed but the most squeaky clean, watered down conventional narrative.

Just goes to show you gotta keep far away from the tumblr crowd when marketing
