ugh, i didn't even notice the select tool coloring. the blinding shines on skin and clothes are also awful. and i totally agree. not to mention that the one wearing the 'are you nasty' shorts is gabriel reyes/reaper, stealth ops commander in the canon. ugh.

Whenever Tumblr "SJW's" a character, they seem to be intent on making said character incredibly slutty and sexual, even when the character in canon is very reserved.

Considering how great most of her work is, I'm going to guess that this icon is an intentional joke/jab at Rory, especially considering Rory's Kylo and Finn were sorta memes for a while.

Come to think of it a lot of the "kawaii trans boi" stuff becoming popular correlates both with characters yaoi fangirls tend to designate as the bottom and around the same time cross dressing/cross dressing kinks were deemed too problematic.

i have a question, does vitiligo make something MORE progressive even if it's like-- the most common SJW art trope with the dark skinned types? Isn't it just common trash now that's overuse seems almost stereotypical and racist to give to characters with different shades of the same color?

Despite Tumblr using vitiligo almost exclusively on black characters, it's just as common in any other race, including white people. I've seen a white dude that had it on his scalp, causing the hair growing out of the affected spots to be whiter than the rest of his hair, which was grey. From what I could tell it was only on his head. Most people I've seen with the condition have it centralized on their face or hands.

I've stated this before in this very thread, but the vitiligo obsession stems from a post with a Suicide Girl model with the skin condition, and was boosted by a contestant on America's Next Top Model with it. Both of them are black women.

Vitiligo looks very exotic and distinctive, and Auriga and Winnie Harlow make the condition sexy, allowing casual observers to not even consider the complications that come with it. You won't see SJW characters with psoriasis or harlequin ichthyosis, as they're not very empowering.
