Becky, if you are reading this: start by saving up money without Amber's knowledge and reach out to people for support, even if it's just an online support group. Start babysitting or get an outside job to get some space from Amber. Maybe volunteer or take a college course. It'll help clear your mind and make you feel more independent and self-sufficient. Once you feel like you can support yourself without Amber, and have people to catch you when you emotionally fall (because it hurts to cut off dependent relationships, I know) kick her to the curb. Maybe go to therapy sessions during and afterwards for mental care and better advice. They'll also help you with the leftover damage.
