Sonichu [Fan Comic] Rosechu's Story - A reimagining of the Sonichu story from Rosechu's perspective.

I'm not going to lie, from what I know about how Solid's powers work, I like to think that the names of Sonichu, Rosechu, and etc were implanted into their minds telapathically...like Sonichu is created and he hears a voice echo in the back of his mind telling him "Your name is Sonichu", that or Chris could've whipped him until his name was Toby and brainwashed him so that his version of the events is what actually happened. Sonichu just automatically accepts it as truth because he's a)understandably curious about the nature of his being, and/or b)re-education taught him that thinking otherwise makes him a DAMN DIRTY TROLL. Of course I might be just giving Solid too much credit. Maybe he might've been able to do it if he overshadowed the "Liquid" half...

I didn't know what you were referencing until I looked it up and... goodness that's pretty dark. Torture scenes like that give me the willies.

The mental image I'm getting from that is both horrifying and just funny, oh my god my sides.

The next time there's a sketch request opening in this thread, I'd love to see Trickie's take on that.

I'd feel weird about drawing that. I mean, not just for the fact that he'd be tortured, but just because I'd feel like people would look at it and wonder if that's a fantasy of mine or something. I do see how it could be funny, though, especially if we have Sonichu answer "What is your name?" with a defiant "P-pika...!".

Hmmm...I just noticed that Trickie liked my other post...perhaps Sonichu will experience some kind of catapult/coma dream of events that happened previously ala Book 1 of The Legend of Korra?

The way I was imagining it, it would be played for comedy. Sonichu answers "What is your name?" With a defiant "P-pika..!", Chris chimps out for a few seconds about his copyright on the name "Sonichu", then beats him. Some "fanon" will drops hints that Chris probably tortures and indoctrinates Sonichu and the Chaotic combo into acting the way that they do.

The brutal executions of the Asperpedia Four in the tenth issue also make it easier for me to see Chris in the comics as a personable and cheery figure, who only gets angry when provoked, and even when he does horrible things, he'd be doing it with that thousand yard smile to the most treacly music imaginable. He gets the Chus to trust him by acting like a fatherly figure, then when they let their guards down, that's where he shows the true nature.

Of course I don't know if you are going for the psychopathic manchild dictator approach with Chris, but I like to imagine your version as having weaker powers than Liquid, but makes up for it in his cruelty and sheer insanity. He's not smarter than Chris, but he's manipulative, and the Chus play into his hand while they are none the wiser, except maybe Magi-chan, who I imagine would have suspicions.

Chris wouldn't whip Sonichu himself, though, that's hard work that he, as mayor of the great city of Cwcville, shouldn't have to do. I imagine Chris would have a designated enforcer Sonichu doing that job. (Also, might be useful to come up with a term to distinguish Sonichu the character from Sonichu the species. Maybe call the original Sonichu Prime or Alpha?)

I completely get that and I'd rather not make you draw something you're not comfortable with. Thank you though for being so frank about it! Great update as per usual, I'm looking forward to seeing the next!

I would be interested in seeing that...as I agree that Chris wouldn't be doing the actual whipping, but I think he would at least oversee the process like some kind of Mafioso watching one of his peons get punished.

I guess what I meant by Solid being less powerful is that while he has godlike abilities, he can't actually create something new like Liquid presumably can, but rather fuse pre-existing things together, or corrupt them. Something like Sauron from Lord of The Rings. He is nonetheless very powerful, but Liquid may still have the advantage with that being said

Well, Sonichu is still a rather wild pokemon, so I don't know if I'd want him to leave a tip, because it probably means whatever weird thing he found interesting enough to carry with him, or worse... o___o;

We've taken a slight detour away from what the True and Honest comic depicts, but we'll be swerving back into it within the next few pages.

Honestly, I think the "like every comment" policy should actually help me in case someone does come in here and start telling me how much I suck. I have a history of getting defensive about my art, and while I feel like I've calmed down a lot since then, automatically liking comments no matter what they say helps remind me why I'm doing all this in the first place.

Anyway, here's that sketch. I'm running on little to no sleep, so it's hard to tell what I think about it. Chris looks weird, I suppose.. I'm afraid I'm not used to drawing him yet... What do you think, @Lil ?

11/10 and ready for the Sonichu-themed "Roots" miniseries. Now we know what happened to Sonichu after mysteriously disappearing from Kel's cabin.

and even if you feel like you drew Chris badly, it's still a better representation than what was in the original comic.
