All in all, nice mini-arc. Enjoyed Kaveri, even for a arc-exclusive character, he was great. Loved the tragic backstory.
In all seriousness, though, this was quite horrifying, if it's true. Which I'm guessing it is, since Phil's in full damage-control mode. Good Lord. I'm hesitant to ask, but can 2017 get any worse for Phil?

Phil was off by almost a decade, Kaveri said it happened around 2013/2014.

I would be a bit more skeptical of the story, but it's pretty specific for what it is and the description of Phil seems to match up pretty well to what we already know about him.

Yeah that‘s really strange.
If it isn‘t true why doesn‘t he keep the thread open after putting out that statement?
If you are confident in your story you can take questions to people who are not quite sure if they believe you.
This way it sounds more like “That’s not true and don’t ever ask me about it again because you won’t get any more information.”

That last sentence.

That last sentence is what leads me to think this is all true. If something is made up, then it's made up. You can't back that sentence with you might of had some interaction with someone like this and try to minimalize it.
He also just outed himself saying he still has copy of game someone lent to him years ago and still hasn't delivered it back...

Vidar came in, immediately doubting Kaveri's story. Chat started ragging on V-Dawg and he was getting frazzled by people stating he was upset about the stream. Chat started suggesting he donate the 400 bucks Phil owed the Kaveri guy. Vidar is insecure as hell so of course he donated something because he really needs you to know how totally not mad he is. It also makes him feel like he has the moral high ground, ignoring where the idea and the pressure for him to donate came from. A fool and his money and all that.

But the fact it was the exact same game, and the fact he locked the thread (why do this if you're innocent?) really puts the nail in the coffin as to wether or not this is faked.
