Why waste weeks on it? This is something I see her do a lot, and I think it's just shameless stalling.

The vast majority of her work is quite aimless and changes on a dime, which heavily implies that she doesn't take the time to properly plan or script things.

Combine that with the impossible quantity-over quality-update schedule she gives herself where she has to poop out a new page 6-7 days a week, and I think it's just too much for her. She doesn't have the time for proper forethought and just stalls and dicks around for several updates, because even she doesn't know what the fuck is supposed to come next.

I know that she loves to brag about how many millions of drafts she makes and how many piles of pages of script she makes, but judging by the evidence shown in her work, that's a load of bullshit.

It reminds me of the Bleach artist Tite Kubo saying that he had to read old volumes to remember what the heck his story was about. Compared to say Oda, who plans stuff out years in advance, he comes off as a pretentious knob who makes it up as he goes along.

I compare PK to Andrew Hussie, who is notorious for being a pretentious and egotistical twat who made his story up as he went on, but was treated as the messiah of comics. Except Hussie was nice enough to directly self-insert himself into his story and not use his characters to personify his ego.

(Actually it's pretty fucking gay to put your actual self into a comic. Whomp Comics is the exception.)

What is the point in making a comic where you mainly see one character making the same face in barely different angles the entire page? At least two of those faces could be showing Lily instead.
Even just the panel that has car could've taken up that whole section and just remove neon's face entirely.
It seems she goes out of her way to draw Neon whenever and as much as she can, but won't draw other characters like Lily unless she has to.

Past, desaturated, Neon is currently dealing with Cosmo's stuff and is trying to get to where he was teleported to.

Omfl, GP pulled the "It was all just a dream" shit. I know it's common but that doesn't stop it from being lazy. Those tedious pages of nothing happening were lazily shoved in, and now we get to do it all over again with Lily! (It will probably also end as a dream in a dream, with Neon still being on the floor of the lab because that is the kind of lazy writing anyone would expect.)

Wow, she actually managed to keep Neon's hair stripe colors consistent between a few of the panels.

Wish I could say the same about the length.

Honestly he did a good job of tying up everything with the end of Problem Sleuth, which at the time, was super impressive given the sheer amount of gibberish and bullshit he wove into that story, especially since Problem Sleuth was steered by the forums making choices as to where the story would go next. With Homestuck he bit off more than he could chew, and that didn't have the forums making the choices in the narrative like PS did.

God, could you imagine if PK did an actually interactive narrative in Flora?

The nightmare could have been three panels long-without the driving bullshit- as the building moving and following her was the main point and source of "Terror."
Neon could be standing or walking in the clearing with the spoopy building in the distance. Next panel, the breathing and becoming aware of it; the building is closer still. Third panel, the building in the distance is now closing in and bearing down on her plus her reaction. Fourth, smaller panel, she'd be waking up screaming and back with Lily.

Edit- I don't even write comics and it was that easy.

The main thing that makes it obvious that PK is making this shit up as she goes with no extended planning on story direction is how quickly she shifts focus when she has a new favorite character. If anybody thinks she planned out those shifts in focus long in advance then they're kidding themselves. Those were spur of the moment decisions, as soon as she got into Beleth/Amdusias/Orobas, Min and Cress were dropped, and as soon as she got into Neon, the trio was dropped. You can practically SEE the desperate scrambling to find a way to make the new favorite relevant to Seeds (and failing, because how is any of this relevant really?). The story has completely lost focus of what it was originally going to be, it's a meandering mess of PK's shifting interests and she doesn't even TRY to weave them together in a way that supplements the original direction of the story.

Whatever the original purpose of Min and Cress's journey was, she could have easily wrapped it up if she got bored with it within another chapter and then moved on to whatever the fuck else she wanted to do. Trying to work all her new favorites into Seeds so she can only draw them until she burns out on them from overuse is one of Flora's biggest flaws imo. She had a lot of buildup with Beleth that was more interesting than anything that's happened since Neon became the focus, but that's all been dropped too.

If PK focused all her time and energy into writing comedy based on grotesque facial expressions, then she might actually succeed at something, because holy shit.

We'd all been saying how boring the Neon driving sequence was, but it could've been saved if she had thought of an interesting way to write her out of it. But nope, we just see another time shift or whatever. All I can think, how tedious must that have been? I don't have the patience to draw out extremely slow-paced scenes like that. PK must have been incredibly convinced that showing the same sequence about three times was vital to the storytelling, because wow, what a waste of effort.
