A sudden visit? So he's choosing to not be ruffled by it and just intends to "fix the Heather situation" by doing a visit. I bet he feels certain that ones he sees her in person, he'll manage to talk her back into being with him.

Well, I hope Heather's family knows and that she gets mentally prepared for it in case he tries doing a stunt like that.

Agreed- whilst I don't deny Heather's strength, I'm quite worried as to how the Skype call would go. GK might not be showing signs of tard rage just yet, but if so much as a bird in the background can set him off, one can only imagine how he'll react in a call where the breakup is "finalised". Last thing I'd want to see from this is Heather relapsing and going back to GK if she is manipulated by him enough times- again.

You know that's going to happen. In fact, it reminds me of a guy who's been stalking a friend of mine for three years. I'm about to go pay him a visit and "persuade" him to stop.
 
This thread was originally about helping GK, not Heather. I am glad Heather is moving on from him. I've looked at some of their older journals and I get the feeling this is a classic case of Heather growing up and GK staying a child. That said, I'm proud of him for finding a job and actually trying to step up and "grow up" after all that happened with The Bearded One. I think it's too little, too late. It's a good attempt but seems less genuine as it's more about just appeasing Heather. I think that GK should learn from this and move on. If he does that maturely and continues to work both on a career and his people skills he will probably be in a better place to be in a real relationship in a few years. (And get a damn haircut.)
 
I'm really hoping Heather doesn't agree to letting him visit. Granted, I'm doubting GK and his DAUNTINGLY BUSY schedule would allow for it. She's doing fantabulous so far, she just needs to keep it up and not give him any leeway.
 
Well, at this point, I think GK will just retreat to his fantasy land to escape the tragedy of breaking up with Heather.

Man...what a glorious thread.

I'm very happy that Heather decided to leave GK. Nobody deserves that type of treatment.
I just hope she doesn't go back to him.
