Well, the whole "leftist resurgence" storyline had its extended tour in the media not so long ago, this whole idea that the Age Of Drumpocalypse would galvanize a new generation of far-left Democrats to take power. The idea of primarying one of the House's most conservative Democrats from the left would be an excellent way to hitch your wagon to that narrative. If Wu & Wu could actually pull it off, or come close, they'd probably be media darlings.
Much like Rev60, the plan falls apart when you examine it in any level of detail beyond that, but the elevator pitch sounds great.

He probably heard this a few years ago when it was actually true. To be fair, a lot of this stuff is out on the horizon and not yet FDA approved. But it's no longer true to say we're not going to have any antibiotics to deal with the increasingly drug resistant strains. In fact, last time I had any major need for an antibiotic (a really nasty strain of strep), the antibiotic prescribed was one that was only approved by the FDA in 1999.
It is true, though, that pharmaceutical companies have little incentive to prioritize antibiotics, though, because they're generally something you take a course of and you're done. It has to pay off within the limited window of patent protection. This is why stuff like fancy bellyache pills that you take every day, rather than change your diet, or boner pills, are incentivized.
The clear upcoming market gap in antibiotics, though, does appear finally to have kicked in. Because of the nature of the market, once these things come out, they're going to be absurdly expensive for a while, but they'll still beat croaking from some superbug.
And they'd be fucking detested by Democrats who aren't fucking insane. You can afford this kind of ideological purity testing when you're in charge of the House and Senate, have the White House, have 6-3 on the Supreme Court, and are in most of the state houses as well.
When you're already crying in the wilderness, the absolute last fucking thing you need is a nutcase like John Flynt driving you off even further into the forest of faggotry.

I have never seen a treadmill placed in a gym so that its back faced a wall directly behind it - for exactly that reason, and because it would be a hassle to get on them.
This is what I think really happened: Frank and Brianna got chinese takeout, and while her "scientist-friend" Frank was talking excitedly about his job, Brianna was tweeting, snarling in noodles and only half-listening to her husband. Later she decided to tweet what she thought she understood and got it wrong.

If you're talking realistically, no. Both groups are incredibly tribalistic and lower on the SES. Although that trend may be changing since it seems more and more white people have decided they're tired of being called racist for everything. Sheboons usually outpace white supremists in terms of violence and retardation though. But, it's not something I'd ever expect a lefty to ever say.

Even if you agree completely with John's electoral strategy for courting a Democratic base of his emphasized chosen sex and race, they only make up a total of about 29,825 voting aged potential lever pullers if he runs the table with that cross section of the public.
Sure, that potential number would win against man of the people Stephen Lynch's primary total from 2016, but it's a small fraction of what Rep. Lynch pulled in during the general with over 270,000 total votes to win his seat yet again. So even if John's plan to virtue signal on twitter his way to victory does get him over the first hurdle, and it won't, it'll fail in the long run to get him to the ultimate winner's circle and his cherished congressional office to play video games cabinets in while reaching across the aisle for that player two button press.
