It is my understanding if you put [Do Not Bend] on a package is as good as putting [Bend A Lot] on a package.

At least one of the envelopes was also stamped "do not bend" in red ink, presumably by the postal service, so it looks as though they did read the instructions and try to follow them...

Supposedly there's a bunch of psychological tricks that can make postal workers take better care of your package, like making it look like it's a gift for a small child. But implying you don't think they can do their jobs is a surefire way to get the opposite effect than you intend. Or you could just, you know, package it properly first of all, and get the insurance if it's really fragile. (It's my understanding that 3 day Priority Mail even includes complimentary insurance for items worth up to $100, although how that figures into non-retail value goods like art is something I won't profess to know) But that takes effort.

The pictures are covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee, but I'm unsure if they'll refund you or take the money out of the seller's account. Obviously it is not Chris' fault that the envelopes were manhandled.

Also, has anyone received a different photo yet?

Chris looks like he's the bass player of some kind of well-known-at-the-time rock group from the 70's.

I mean that as a compliment.

like "the rockin dogs"?

OK... here is my autograph art collection... My O J Simpson autographed mini-helmet, my original John Wayne Gacy oil painting and my Our Pet Lolcow autographed photo, complete with crumple marks and the wrong pose on the photo. (I specifically asked for the one with the raised eyebrow.)

You own the picture that's on the cover of Acid Bath's "When the Kite String Pops"? You lucky sombitch.

I'm planning to buy one for a friend. However, I never use eBay so i have no idea how to contact him to tell him what I want him to put as the message/name on the photo. Do I just, like, message him and say "hey, I just bought one, my zipcode is [x] and I want it to say [x]"? Or what?

put it in the instructions when you pay or just message him. Chris isn't 100% retarded.

Alright, I bought it. My 14-year-old sister asked what so I told her and she tried to act holier-than-thou because she doesn't make fun of an autistic guy! (except she does give me grief for not "acting my age" proving she doesn't understand my asperger's at all)

My autograph got here, but it is bent the fuck up despite CWC's instructions to the carriers to not fucking bend it It even had a DO NOT BEND stamp on it. It's not his fault though. He did personalize it and write an inspirational message.

Looks like one of the sorting machines ate it. That's pretty bad even for the post office. I'd probably complain.

For those of you awaiting commissions from Chris, ask him to mail yours in one of these:

@Prowldent did you ask Chris to replace your signed photo yet? He spent 7 bucks on postage just to have the mail carrier crumple it up and hand it to you that way. Ask him to use a proper envelope like the one above.

So, just a curiosity... Seeing that many people got the wrong images sent to them. Could they get their money back from E-bay? After all the product they received was not the product they purchased.

EDIT: DISREGARD THIS. I completely missed his item description. Thanks to all who clarified.

It might be difficult, just because all of the pictures he's sending were pictures advertised on the eBay listing, and I don't believe that Chris ever listed explicitly that the buyer could choose which one. Might be worth a shot, I suppose.
