I don't even see what's so Stephen King-ish about that image. It's an old run-down rambling hotel. So? Personal taste and all, but it doesn't strike me as remotely frightening. Could just be John doesn't know how to frame a shot to make something look scary, which strikes me as very likely. Or it could be he's just glomming onto the current wave of Stephen King buzz due to so many people being excited about It, which strikes me as even likelier.

Besides, everyone knows King's most famous haunted hotels are set in Colorado and NYC.
His rural Maine books are all about entire towns with dark secrets.
Actually, I'm a pretty big fan, but now that I think about it, I can't recall a single King book set in Mass. Anyone else know one?

Dreamcatcher had a huge segment at the Quabbin Reservoir, but I don't remember how much else of the book is set in Mass. Also I'm pretty sure Hubie Marsten was a Boston gangster before retiring to 'Salem's Lot, but that's kind of a stretch. Bottom line, King is famous for Maine horror, not Massachusetts horror.

Oh yeah, she does it constantly. She did it just a couple of days ago even. Check it out:

Here's the truth from Frank's old blog. It isn't even her 10th anniversary! What the hell must Frank feel when he reads this? I can't even imagine. (I should probably point out too that it isn't even their anniversary, period. I don't know how far Frank goes along with this mythologising. It's all supremely weird.)

It's total lunacy. She used to lie about her age until she started this half-assed fake run for office. She lies about how long she's been married. She lies about how old Crash was when he died -- by a minimum of two years.

Frank is anywhere between 10-16 years her senior (truthfully 12).

The weirdo will lie about breakfast just to have Something to say.

I got it, John's subway train went into Frank's tunnel for the past two hours, if you get my meaning

I mean John ravaged Frank's asshole with his mutilated penis.

By depressing, I guess he means they didn't take his suggestions about funding public transport with imaginary free government seriously. By enlightening, he means they told him exactly why his idea is stupid. Wu's political campaign is bizarre. He has these flashes of clarity where he almost seems to be running a serious campaign, but then he goes and does shit like organising trips to sci fi screenings.

I used to give Wu the benefit of the doubt when it came to things she said on twitter, even if they seemed unlikely. I now fully believe Wu sat around the house all day and vaguely googled some news stories about mass transit in MA.

Ray Garraty walks through the state in final chapters of The Long Walk and wins The Prize in Danvers. But only because McVries gets tired of life itself and Stebbins finally dies from exhaustion, but fuck Stebbins anyway, good riddance, says I.
It counts if you're going to exceptional lengths to be fair to John.

People seem to insist on painting Frank as some sort of Machiavellian man behind the curtain who is ultimately in charge of all Wu's idiotic schemes. It seems to me to simplify the scenario if you see Frank simply as the man who can't say no, who is constitutionally incapable of calling Wu out on her lies and closing his wallet to her dreams of becoming an overnight success. Yes, BriBri creates a lot of extra work for Frank, be it doing most of the geometry for her game or doing all the paperwork for her scampaign in addition to his day job, but that only matters if you think Brianna cares about how Frank feels. Brianna hit the workshy tranny lottery by meeting Frank, she can get by with the pocket money from her patreon and campaign donations because she has no friends and no expenses, the only thing she "needs" are toys. Wu's only concern is never to have to do any work whatsoever, because the minute she's forced to seek honest employment is the minute all her lies about herself come crashing down.

Christ alone knows what Frank gets out of all this. It must be embarrassing to have a "wife" who is constantly lying about every aspect of her life in public, even the details of how they met and got married get wrapped up in Brianna's tale weaving. The only thing I can think of is that he's seriously sexually dysfunctional and having a weird tranny to fuck is the only way he can get it up.
I've mentioned this before, but I personally theorize that Frank simply gets off on the fact that he has absolute control over Brianna's life in every way possible. When he first met her, she was a nearly 30 year old John Flynt living with his aunt and going nowhere with his life, and after they got together John got his botched ball-chopping surgery, got married, and moved in with Frank and she's never had to work another day in her life so she's free to spend as much time and money as she needs to play pretend. John always likes to paint their situation as a little slice of heaven on earth, this is simply because he's such a narrow-minded Narcissist that he believes as long as he's provided luxuries and is free to REEEE into ether while living in his own fantasy work their relationship is happy and healthy. The truth is Frank is a known controlling abuser, and to someone like him Brianna is a godsend. Without Frank's name and money Brianna would be nothing, and she's so stupid she won't question anything about their relationship so long as she gets to maintain the image she wants to present. She's too lazy to ever try to leave him because that would mean she'd actually have to start working and wouldn't be able to treat life like a game anymore, she's too ignorant and naive to ever realize the kind of situation she's in, and she's has absolutely no useful skills that would ever allow her to rise above him and damage his ego. Really Brianna is more of a hobby than a spouse to Frank. Even if he has to devote a bit of time and money on asinine projects to keep her happy, he's still got somebody that has no other option in life than to be with him, and that's all he needs.

It's MBTA. Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. Wu spelled the organization he talked to for hours incorrectly multiple times in multiple tweets.

I read this, then think of that horrifying image at the convention where Frank dressed up in the one-size-too-small angel costume.

But at that level of obsession, I guess they really do deserve each other.
