Good on you for getting the job and saving up.

Personally I would hold off on stock investments unless you're willing to commit at least $10,000. Even then the returns are still kind of minimal though.

Welcome, officially, to the real world. There are going to be a lot of things that this experience will teach you; not all of them will be pleasant, but they will make you free. Good job taking the first step.

I just bought the DNA tests, one for myself (the 385 one) and the other six are ones for some of my family relatives. I also paid for another speeding ticket of Tamar's. So that puts me down to 1700s.

This is why nobody should be optimistic...

By the way those DNA tests are pretty scammy, Identical twins get different results.

I still have $2,000 to invest in stocks, so thats good.

Maybe they are scammy, but i think its not likely they are scammy. I mean i'm sure some of their conclusions about DNA are false. But I think the complexity of DNA is why the results are not 100% accurate in the most fully extrapolated sense. But I do believe the tests are in general accurate and reliable so long as they are used for more recent ancestors like within the last 500-1000 years.

Dude, couldn't you have waited a bit longer than 2 days before making me look like an imbecile for congratulating you and wishing you the best? lol

lol

I still have the full time job. I figure if I spend 1/3 of my money, and invest the remaining 2/3, that's still a good plan. Keep in mind i have no expenses other than food and gas money. So i can afford to do things like this on a fairly regular basis and still save a good amount of money

Except a responsible person would be paying rent. Living with your parents at your age without contributing is pathetic.

Even if I had all the money in the world, Tamar will probably never give me another chance for friendship. i'm going to be a millionaire and use it to make the world a better place. you'll be hearing more about me in the future on a larger scale

People don't become millionaires by throwing money at stupid bullshit like dna tests and paying fines for a woman WHO HAS A RESTRAINING ORDER ON YOU which caused a warrant for your arrest.

Hey, when you make that million, you should donate to the Farms. Y'know, since we've supported you through all this, been honest with you, and even given sound advice in the face of scorn. You should pay that debt. Preferably in money.

You want to do some unselfish good @tamarlover? Go volunteer in Texas right now, go donate blood...screw it, whatever.

"When" you have your "millions" what are your plans now that you admit Tamar won't be swayed?

OK, you know what, it's your money use it as you want.

But for the love of God, learn how to budget. I have a feeling you aren't actually keeping track of your earnings and spending and just sporadically splurge with wild abandon.
