Definitely. The Rock was able to transition into movies because wrestling was so popular and he was so popular. My friends and I literally went to that movie just to see The Rock in it. I am sure we were far from the only ones. And if Austin had done the same, it would've been similar. Both were literally as mainstream as it got. If you asked a rando walking down the street if they knew who Roman Reigns was, they probably wouldn't know. If you asked them who The Rock was back then, they'd likely know.

My school had cliques based on which wrestling show people watched, WCW vs WWF lol. Didn't last long because eventually both groups realized that you could just flip back and forth, but it lasted for a few months.

I think the last guy who was able to do it successfully was Bautista, because he had to play a retarded buff guy in three bad marvel movies but that got his foot in the door for more substantial roles and he's kind of a niche actor.
He doesn't do movies like Cena where he's the popular star but he's definitely in some big movies if that makes sense, He was in blade runner 2049 and he was in that newer m night shyamalan movie. Granted he's in a lot of direct to video stuff that Jason Statham probably turned down, but for every one of those he's one of the characters in a Glass Onion movie.
If Cody and Roman are going to make it in movies the only shot they have relies completely on how successful Street fighter is going to be. Cody has already acted in a couple of things and I'm not sure whether or not this is Roman's first movie, but both of them are at the point where if you showed a regular person their pictures they would not know who Cody was and they would look at Roman and probably mistake him for that Jason Mamoa guy.
I bet they look at Bautista and just call him Drak because they don't know what his name is.

For Cody it's probably make or break depending on how well his Guile is received.

I think that Street fighter is going to decide both of their fates because even though the rock has connections and nepotism runs rampant in Hollywood you are forgetting one thing about Roman that will really fuck him that no amount of being a coconut nigger will save him from... he's MAGA as fuck.
