Women pop a child, realize how womanhood-affirming it is and either seek the next dick to pump out another or make it their whole life. But not in that romantic "single mom who does everything for her child" way, but the "takes selfies and posts it online" sort. The kind that fills their dating bio with paragraph after paragraph about their kid; something inherently negative in a dating space yet beside it she's got no identity.YMMV, but I don't normally see women under 30 at my co-ed running socials. I'm not actually sure what, if anything, women about my age do. I'm not so convinced there will be much of a generation with zoomer moms if they're just bed rotting. Zoomer guys still show up. They look and behave fairly normally.
I work in a psych ward and it's baffling to see 18 year old mental girls be able to play the piano incredibly well. I can't for the life of me imagine what kind of life one must lead these days to have time or interest in hobbies let alone music. I grew up wanting only to associate with ebin memesters but now I'd take any fucking boomer normie over having to deal with phones, brainrot and no aspirations in life.Zoomers aren't very social, they think everything is "cringe," they're entitled, they don't want to put any effort into anything ... Just not a very fun or inspired group of people.
And Cuckerberg uses all that information for his intelligence gathering operation to sell to data brokers and give to Mossad. Also this, I hate how boomers PLASTER pictures of their grandkids on facebook. My friend has a no photos online of her kids policy for obvious reasons. She doesn't have a facebook as she is not geriatric, so she isn't familiar with her parent's internet habits. I went to her parents fb and what did I find? Yep, dozens if not hundreds of photos of her children. Boomers refuse obsec, those great grandparent updoots from their aging church friends are worth more than their grandkids being turned into an indians AI CSAM.
I blame Gen X parents. I don't hate or even dislike Gen X, but DAMN they've disappointed me in how hands-off they are about everything. I understand that they just want to do their job and be left alone....except when it comes to leading and being in charge, they refuse to do it because they don't want the pain in the ass that comes with it. Is it any wonder why they haven't taken control away from the Boomers in high-ranking positions? Seems to match up with how they are with parenting because they just left their kids to their own devices and now Gen Z is just floating around rudderless. Zoomers are capable of working and getting good at stuff, but a corporate job is like an albatross for them.Gen Z is mostly un-hirable
Holy shit your Dad sucks. I don't think I'd be able to resist the urge to actually take the money from him, since it sounds like he owes you a lot.He stole my daughter's halloween candy last year. He will literally steal the food out of his grandkid's mouths and think it's okay to do so. He also refuses to let us claim him as a dependent on our taxes even though he doesn't even file.
Especially infuriating how they try to keep so much to themselves but are so stupid that they get scammed out of tons of money by the crustiest jeets on the planet. It's so common now and boomers love doing it to make their family upset. The refusal to plan estates, make wills, DNRs, etc. and power of attorney and figure out who is in charge of boomers when they become full vegetables. It literally takes 20 minutes of sitting with a lawyer. Can't be bothered.
"......I mean, when you compare the two options yeah kinda"I said that I don't think we need to import all this foreign labor to replace the shrinking population and she exclaimed "What do you want us to do, all die!?"
After retirement the two of them plan the native Californian boomer exit scheme, selling the house and transplanting to Arizona
You mean the latchkey generation, who insists "they turned out fine," are raising an entire generation that's directionless, emotionally neglected, cynical, and depressed kids? Color me shocked! We can thank a lot of Boomers for this too, I guess.I blame Gen X parents. I don't hate or even dislike Gen X, but DAMN they've disappointed me in how hands-off they are about everything. I understand that they just want to do their job and be left alone....except when it comes to leading and being in charge, they refuse to do it because they don't want the pain in the ass that comes with it. I'm just thankful that I was raised by Boomer parents who are awesome people. I have vivid memories from childhood of listening to my parents complain about their own generation and how they're messing everything up for their kids, grandkids, further future generations, etc. Then you have Millenials who were raised by Boomers, and both of those generations complain non-stop about each other. Both sides have good points sometimes, but holy SHIT I hate how arrogant the Boomers are. They actually seriously think they had life on hard mode and AT THE SAME TIME they actually believe life was better when they were in their prime. I have never seen a Boomer work harder than anyone else from a different generation. Ever. Any time they have to get off their ass and do something, they will complain about how things shouldn't be complicated or use the "I'm too old for this" excuse while refusing to let others assist them because they don't want to feel helpless. Idk, maybe that's less of a 'Boomer' specific issue and just a thing about the elderly in general but considering how many Boomers we have right now, it's annoying as fuck.
Redditors just make normal opinions gay. Work culture today is shit and everyone knows it, but r/antiwork is a laughingstock for a reason, for exampleI thought hating boomers was Reddit tier shit?
There's a fine distinction between the way that Millennials are "lazy and entitled", and the way zoomers are.But Boomers successfully put the "lazy and entitled" label on us, and it stuck. Wild.
When my mother in law brings up grandkids I politely remind her we cannot afford children right now. A real piece of shit has kids they cannot afford to support and cannot give a good childhood. I've tried to explain this and she has said those are stupid reasons and me and my wife just need to work harder. Of course the good common sense of her parents generation just flys over her head. God I hate these fucking people. One night, about 20 years ago, I had the misfortune of drinking at the bar with my mom. She asks me, "So, when are you and your woman going to start having kids?"
I replied, "We have no plans for children at this particular time."
She replied, "GOOD! I have no desire to be a grandma."
I guess "pro-choice" only applied to her and no else. If that isn't peak Boomer, I don't know what is.
You're right, if someone annoying says an opinion we agree with, we need to change our opinion to be the opposite of theirs.I thought hating boomers was Reddit tier shit?
I find it interesting how a lot of the (relatively) decent Boomers will not give that label to their own Millenial children even though they give that label to everyone else. I also notice that Millenials will admit their parents are good if there's a good relationship, even though they're sick of Boomers in general. I feel the same way about my Boomer relatives I'm fond of, maybe if there was some sort of common ground we could meet on, we might not despise each other as much as we do.Boomers successfully put the "lazy and entitled" label on us, and it stuck.
I feel you on everything said but I have to emphasize this part that needs to be called out. American Millenials have a 'consumerism' problem. We grew up in a time where children were targeted by advertisers and a lot of things that were made 'just for kids'. It was a great time to grow up in, but have you noticed that Millenials seemed to ALWAYS be the target audience for random bullshit marketing? Once we were of drinking age there was this upward trend of getting intoxicated in media, I'll never forget when Four Locos came out (I mean the OG one that killed people) and now we have Disney Adults. Buying stuff that looks cool is such a dopamine hit that even I have to stop myself from getting bullshit I don't need like, idk, an oreo dunking spoon. Boomers are to blame for this because they conditioned Millenials to be this way at a young age by both buying and selling this type of thing. I don't think they MEANT to do it, I honestly believe they were just trying to make their kids happy but it annoys me when they call Millenials out on this behavior because they have the exact same problem! They buy some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen! I remember in the 2000's about half of the Boomers I visited all had that stupid as FUCK talking bass fish on their wall that yelled at everyone that walked by it. I REALLY hope Millenials aren't making the same mistake with their Gen Alpha kids by buying them stuff to flex their status.-snip-...Friday night, takeout pizza and a rented PS1 game from BlockBuster, and you're stoked because it's summer and you have all weekend to beat it....-snip-
Sounds like the opposite of stories seen on YouTube from teachers complaining about Gen Alpha. Then again I’m not sure how much of it is millennial feminist teachers breaking down because the class doesn’t want to learn about pronouns or how they live on stolen land.I don't know if that's indicative of the whole of Gen Alpha ... But I hope it is
Not all, but a lot of them have an aversion to classical. You’d think that they would learn to appreciate it with age, but I guess it was firmly brainwashed into their heads that it’s “old people music”. I despise that boomers fell for this because it’s a huge part of the reason music classes in American schools today teach awful slop, rather than teaching the kids about the great classical composers.Anyway, so we're in the 1st class dining car and they had classical music playing. This clearly drunken Boomer woman comes stumbling into the dining car and as loudly as possible states, "What's with this old people music?
Those teachers never tell you the race of the kids they’re teaching. If they’re complaining about behavior, they’re teaching nigs and spics at the ghetto school. And yes, the political aspect plays a part. My daughter has had some issues with her English teachers, despite being a really good student, because they keep picking straight-up bizarre things to read.Sounds like the opposite of stories seen on YouTube from teachers complaining about Gen Alpha. Then again I’m not sure how much of it is millennial feminist teachers breaking down because the class doesn’t want to learn about pronouns or how they live on stolen land.
Boomers: Never want to spend any time with their children or help them in anyway asking when they'll be grandparents, but will gladly help anyone else. I would've disowned them if this was me. Don't be surprised when they die and they leave a portion of their will/estate to these random people she's delusional about being the "grandparent" of.Another interesting tale of my mother in law.
Zoomers don't know what it was like, and in many ways that's worse. They lack the positive vision of a single parent coming back from work on Friday night, takeout pizza and a rented PS1 game from BlockBuster, and you're stoked because it's summer and you have all weekend to beat it. If Millennials are lazy and entitled, zoomies feel 'entitled to laziness' - they don't see anything worth working towards, so why do you expect them to care or work hard? The most common aspirational career is some nebulous "content creator" which just means getting paid millions for posting dumb shit online, which they already do recreationally.
