As much as I'm not entirely into the weird posting of ship art. I will say I will never not find it hilarious that Toby somehow wrote a ship that is so terrible literally EVERY OTHER OPTION IS BETTER. Fuck, even Noelle being with Berdly is more believable than Suselle.
It just astounds me how Noelle has believable chemistry with almost everyone BUT Susie.

It really is this. If anyone is even remotely familiar with how fandoms get, the fujoshi and yurifags both get insufferably mad about the idea of a normal, happy relationship (which is by default straight).
They even go so far as to pretend they're into straight relationships, but always insist on some weird angle, like some dom/sub thing. There's literally layers of subterfuge involved in how the fujos and yurifags try to present themselves as anything but rabid animals to be put down.
It's very similar to lolicon subterfuge, but that could be because there's an extremely high level of crossover between those three groups.

Yeah. It's goddamn wild shit when you see fujoshis (and periodically but less often yurifags) bitching about how women are portrayed in media as being sex objects, meanwhile two males can't just be friends ever.
There's this weird thing you'll often see where they go "Oh I am totally into INSERT_TOKEN_STRAIGHT_SHIP_HERE." But they never talk about it, or it has something weird going on like by some peculiar coincidence it's abusive or happens to have children involved. At which point you start getting excuses eerily similar to lolicon "mature minor" type arguments.
What it often actually is is a deflection to try and pretend they're normal and not exclusively into degenerate gay shit, but the mask always slips.

In my experience the actual gay men, who might I add are vanishingly rare in fandoms, are the most tolerable gay shippers. You know, the ones with actual understanding of how gay relationships would actually fucking work.
And before you ask, the vast majority of lesbians in fandoms are actually troons or very confused teenage girls (usually with actual autism). Who are often preyed on by said troons.
Every other category of gay shipper should be executed on sight with only the most perfunctory trial.
