General Wrestling Discussion

I will say it one more time and then I won't explain it to you again because I don't know how much simpler I can explain it to you:
Ready?
Every single solitary time that there is some kind of gay political slap fight that happens outside of a political thread, you are involved in it. You are the common denominator. It is always you that is involved.
You are seriously being the drunk guy in court who's there for domestic violence for the 50th time and you're earnestly looking at the judge and saying "Your honour, people need to understand that this bitch DESERVED IT..."
You have to pick your battles, my main man. Keep it in the political section and if somebody says something that you don't like that doesn't mean you have to jump all over it with the nuclear rage that we dropped on two Japanese cities.
You got to learn to let it go.

Do yourself a favor and put the 'tard on ignore.

The Hulkster needs to enjoy prison.

You're the only one tard raging. This is a wrestling thread but you can't have any aspect of your life where Trump doesn't own your head. You really think about Trump every moment of the day to the point you started sperging the same bullshit just because someone typed the word 'politics'. Talk about being brainwashed. I hope you swallow a shotgun the day he's out of office because you'll lose all meaning to your life when you no longer have a boogyman.
Not at all. The MAGAloids get upset when you talk bad about Dear Leader or point out how retarded they are for being so obsessed with "woke". Your post history suggests you're a MAGAloid, which further proves my point that you're only upset because I don't love him like you do otherwise you'd get upset at the folks who bring him up in the first place. Typical hypocritical MAGAloid behavior.

Lol putting someone on ignore is the biggest bitch behavior there is

By all means I'm no fan of Zion Don, but holy fuck the guy doesn't live rent free in my head, this is just gay.

I struggle to read because I am a retard and can't comprehend that a person with a user name based on Hulk Hogan would be in a wrestling thread to talk wrestling and not see MAGAloids seethe
We know. This thread is supposed to be about wrestling but MAGAloids come in here and get upset that some wrestlers are "woke" or that I don't like Donnie Dementia

Vince Russo, for all his faults does have some positives, namely as mentioned before - he wants everyone on the roster to have something to do or give as many people as he can TV time, we saw what happens when you give him a filter and the end result was the single biggest business boom since Hulkamania. Even if he slipped Beaver Cleavage in there anyway.

But he didn't invent the Crash TV formula, Paul Heyman did during the ECW years, Russo just took that and sanded it off a little to make it palatable to McMahon and advertisers.
Russo was absolutely the right guy for the WWF in 1997.

I agree. He was a change of pace and with a filter, he did have some good ideas. He also had some really bad ones (Beaver Cleavage being one) but he did generally have an angle for everyone on the roster which is something good. I also don't like overly long matches so I was cool with 5-10 minute matches and the content being mostly characters and storylines (granted, this was the case beforehand but he did help with that).

That said, without a filter he's pretty awful, like WCW in 2000. Having an angle where a wrestler doesn't follow the script? That's stupid as fuck. I know it's fake but I like to suspend my disbelief. That's also why I can't enjoy AEW and modern indie wrestling style.

Mainly because he was one voice on a team and his worst shit got filtered out.
Which has been my point for the most part

Ideally, only like two TV matches should only go >10-12 minutes, save the longer ones for PPV

Like I said, if you were really that upset about it you'd be upset at the MAGAloid who brought it up again. You're just lying and are upset that I don't like Dear Leader, which is why you hide your post history like a little bitch.
I think the reason why people are annoyed with this shit is because you're basically just Patrick Tomlinsoning people in this thread with repeating the same lines ad nauseum.

Not a fan of Trump, don't have my post history hidden, but I also tend to just gloss over posts in this thread when it's Politics Time.

I 100% agree. A main event for a PPV should obviously be longer, even like a tag or secondary title or whatever. But I'd rather watch 10 8 minute matches than 4 30 minute matches (yes, I know it doesn't add up to the same but there's entrances, etc...). I have no idea how people like Meltzer can sit down and watch a 60 minute match and be so into it from the beginning, especially when you have near falls 5 minutes in and you know the match won't end that early

Because Uncle Dave is very autistic that's how.

I'll never understand how that Jew is the metric wrestlers judge their career by instead of people reacting to them in venues in real time.

Sure, but nothing over three fucking minutes, and usually with a fuck finish, is not a good show either.

Violent J seems to have some say in things, as most of the few matches you get on Lunacy are around 10 minutes, but the poor booking and mediocre talent makes it just as bad as 90-second run-in DQs all night.

Reasons I’m glad I’m not Forum Staff, invoking politics and the slapfight it becomes outside the Thunderdome should make you eat at least a timeout from the thread…

The reason I give Russo some more slack these days is that I’m of the opinion that the actual wrestling is one of the least important parts of pro wrestling. You could put on a 5* Match, but if I have no reason to be invested in it I’m not going to remember it 5 minutes from now. You need something to bring people in.

I WILL however, give Russo shit for going too far in the opposite direction - the story and the match need to be in service of each other, and not have a million random swerves going from A to P to C…

Seeing that name activated my sleeper agent mode. I liked Lumis's look but knew shitall about his wrestling.

Meanwhile, my friend called him a nazi, I can't remember why LOL
Technically Sam Shaw was an incel, though Hunter retooled him into a fuckboy who not only married and had regular sex with Indie Hartwell, but also canonically fucked Roderick Strong until he developed date rape psychosis.
