No, I didn't say Hillary. Hillary would've be a just-as-milquetoast Obama 2.0. Any criticism you could have levied at Hillary--anything she would've gotten wrong as president--Trump has already met those same qualifications ten-fold. Hillary was a nonentity in every sense of the word. I still voted for her, yes, because she was an extension of the status quo we already had, and that would have been better than the alternative we ultimately went with. For all its faults, the status quo of the Obama era was
fine. Especially compared to the nightmare we're saddled with now.

The right-wing got their claws into America--especially its younger generations--because the SJW madness of the mid-2010s was just
that insufferable. Speaking as a leftist myself--a far-leftist, even--many of us did
not want that. We didn't want what the militants were pushing, but their voices were louder than ours and they successfully exiled any of us who tried to halt their coup of our political wing. And a lot of people were disillusioned by that, especially the fence-sitters: centrists and independents who subsequently swung hard-right. Fuck, it almost turned
me, but I understood I could lament the state of affairs without abandoning the old colors, because ideologically, I still identify with what leftism is
supposed to mean and find rightism just as unpalatable as this bastardization of my own ideology.
What's that ideology? Egalitarianism and--yes--socialism. Not full-on communism, mind you, but strong social systems that weren't beholden to private interests which meant that even the most useless loser wouldn't have to suffer needlessly and could live a comfortable life in a good home, knowing that if we applied our resources
properly--i.e. not funneled exorbitant amounts of wealth to elite secret societies and the military industrial complex--we could more than manage that and still have plenty left over to use however we needed or wanted. And equality just meant equal rights between men and women and across races. Equal pay, equal voting power, equal consideration, and fuck, if the gays wanna marry each other too, that's their own business and doesn't affect anyone else, so live and let live. Didn't mean I was about to advocate for men in womens' sports or let hairy crossdressing pedophiles change in the same locker rooms as little girls, but I knew to make comfortable compromises on things that wouldn't bother me.
But where people like me wanted equality, the SJWs wanted
revenge. Or what they try to whitewash as "equity, not equality".
And that would've put a lot of innocent people in the crossfire, simply for being male or straight or white. And the movement that ultimately led to Trump promised protection from what was at the time a movement with a clear bloodthirst and a base of power that was growing at a worrying rate. And people fell for it, and that's where MAGA came from. The problem is that Trump is the fucking
avatar of those elite secret societies and power-hungry warhawks, and had no intention of ever keeping his promises, which everyone with an ounce of pattern recognition about his behavior for
decades prior knew even all the way back in 2016. But many are still afraid to this day that if MAGA ever loses power, the SJWs will be back with a vengeance and straight back on the warpath.
That's why they're so slavishly devoted to Trump, and I almost can't blame them for it.
The only problem is MAGA is the exact same fucking thing from the other direction, on its own warpath against anyone who
isn't male, straight, or white, and so we've got two sides of extremists locked in what each believes is a mutually-exclusive "it's us or them" war of extinction, and anyone who even identifies with either side's traits by mere association is immediately painted by the other side as the enemy. I've been called a chud
and a SJW, bigoted
and woke, a commie
and a pig, a troon
and a transphobe, all because I just want the fighting to fucking
stop.
All these years of global strife, because one fucking ex-camwhore didn't want to admit to giving blowjobs for positive coverage of her stupid "game".
If there's one take away from this, just know that SJWs/MAGA are two sides of the same coin. They're
both the enemy. They're the
same enemy: groups of people who believe that they alone are superior to everyone different from them and that anyone who opposes their supremacy should be wiped out.
