The problem, as I undersand it, is that DDOS mitigation is very financially expensive unless you can share that expense between many, many sites. So buying a huge amount of bandwidth for KF ddos mitigation would be very costly, unless you could rent that spare bandwidth out to other sites, when not in use. Which is essentially Cuck Flares business model. Unfortunately I dont have a solution.

Pretty grim seeing one of the last parts of the free internet come under siege like this. Something big has to change somewhere to unfuck things, but it's hard to say what could. Some years ago, people were hoping that Elon would hold firm, assert a pre-2016 speech policy on Twitter (which every single social media site had for most of the internet's existence), and that'd break the censors forever.
Past that, the things I can think of are:
Tor gets a lot more popular. Brave already made it more usable, but the network effect is a bitch. The pre-censorship internet had nice clean flow of users from normie places to not-normie places, with low barriers to entry. The infamous "alt-right pipeline".
Techfags use browser extensions to mitigate censorship on censored websites. Backing up posts, showing the posts of other users of the same extension, ignoring deboosting, etcetera. Something like what Gab's Dissenter extension was meant to do, but specialized for the UIs of e.g. Twitter, Reddit.
Imageboards become usable again with the use of LLMs as spam/slop filters. Download and abliterate a model, feed it new 4chan posts and a list of filter criteria, receive JSON-formatted lists of filter criteria they meet, share out the filter outputs via an extension and let users pick what they want to filter.
Some foreign country decides to back American discontents to spite the U.S. government. Maybe Russia shares its version of cloudflare. Maybe China hosts a social media site and quietly allows communities with politically-incorrect opinions. Something like TikTok allowing anti-Israel videos.
Getting off topic, I guess. Important thing to remember is that all of this censorship depends on a world-historic level of resources being devoted to suppressing every possible channel in which free speech can be expressed.

Hypocrisy is something that had always irked me. And what Matthew Prince did was hypocritical, cowardly and HE KNEW the implications that it had for the Internet. What transpires here will inevitably happen to so many other sites. With enough time, maybe the Internet will only be Facebook, Google and Tiktok.
Matthew Prince has done this because he is a lousy niggerfaggot cuckold who allowed insane trannies - who didn't like that this site exposed them for embarrassing truths about their character - to change his stance on being neutral and providing a service that is rapidly becoming essential to maintain a website on the Internet. Matthew Prince did this and yet knowing that it would spell disaster down the line, the truly heinous shit out there still has Cloudflare protection because oh well I guess having animal abuse or terroristic content or AI CSAM generation isn't drawing too much negative attention at this time. What a coward!
There was already a tiny crack in the window after Daily Stormer, but I genuinely believe Kiwifarms being removed from cloudflare has set precedent for many sites in the future to be denied the only effective DDOS protection against modern botnet attacks.
Is there a possible scenario where Cloudflare takes the site back or there is a real long term solution to huge scale DDOS attacks? Or is the damage simply irreversible at this point?
