DDoS attacks

When The Quartering took down Kino Casino's clips channel on Youtube, they activated a hydra network of random people all over making their own new Kino Casino clip channels, too many for him to flag down easily.

Is there anything distributed that could be done by dozens of random users? "Hey, here's my site called Fruit Grower Enjoyers, but it actually tunnels you to KF!"
the single greatest attempt I have seen at technology like this is IPFS and Zeronet, however, both fucking suck ass and don't have much development in them, so off-the-shelf solutions are going to be very expensive for null to invest in.

All I can do at this moment is offer my thanks to Null for keeping the site going this long and for the progress he's made towards independent DDOS protection.

I don't think this is the end, but I'm not going offer any alternatives since they'd just be half-baked. This is genuinely uncharted waters.

I know Tor is fine and it is easy to use, that's not really the point

The farms isn't illegal, it should be free to show information to average internet users.

Anyone who searches LEGAL information should have access to whoever hosts it even if it hurts feelings

Cause that's all it is at the end of the day. KF is blacklisted cause it displays things that hurt weirdos feelings...

Meanwhile Cloudflare is now giving free accounts to any and all AI agents to deploy sites and do shit online with (direct link), and trying once again the "pay for each GET request" "monetization gateway" for all resources served through them (direct link), which is likely they will succeed at this time, unlike previous attempts by other companies. The free internet is being besieged from all fronts, and from top to down. DDoS services, many of which protected by CF itself, make it increasingly difficult to host anything without relying on one singular internet gatekeeper even if you manage to register and hold onto a domain, meanwhile from the top corporations are going to start draining all value from what's available today online more than ever before, doubly so with the excuse of LLMs roaming the internet.. and everything being so centralized into just a couple services that you need to give all your personally identifiable information to access. This site being accessible represents a lot about the free internet and what shape it will have in the future.

The free internet won't exist in the future. All we will be left with is a walled garden in which wrongthink will be punished by death.

We always knew TPTB would come out on top but just didn't want to accept it. We, and the rest of the current opposition to globohomo as a whole, have always been the last dying gasp of what once existed before Clown World ruined everything.

I feel like that would actually be possible... Something like a docker image (or just a script of some sort) you run on your own server where you set up a custom domain which can be used to proxy to the kiwifarms over tor or something else. You could set it as a personal one where only whitelisted users or users that meet a certain criteria could use it, and if your server abuses access null could ban it depending on how it's implemented. or you could set it to read-only, where there is no logging in or posting - this would be fairly easy and I think is how Pirate bay mirrors work.

So I could run puggyfarms.xyz on my personal server, which proxies to the kiwifarms. To the users accessing puggyfarms it'll literally be the kiwifarms and it'll appear to be a direct connection that can be accessed on any browser, but on the backend it's tunnelling to null's servers somehow. Realistically null would need to implement a method of recognizing puggyfarms.xyz as a valid url - and ideally have full control over https encryption.

Firs step is to find a way to allow anyone to set up a live read-only mirror that gives instructions to access the site through tor.

Keep your doomposting stuck to the Iran War thread

Years ago Null would talk about on his streams how what he has done to make the site independent isn't really all that remarkable, and it was just a process of learning what he needed to learn at each step and putting it together. At the time he'd said that anyone could do it and that someday he might make a guide for it so anyone could make their own Kiwifarms.

Though lately he's said that apparently only he possesses this specialized knowledge of all the hoops he's had to jump through, and there's practically no one else with both the knowledge and motivation to do anything similar. I wonder if that's more of a thought that it wouldn't be possible to properly teach anyone, or just general doomerism about the state of things.

I want to know the basic steps of making an independent site. If there was the equivalent to a second Kiwifarms, in the early days, it would still be able to be supported by Cloudflare before it becomes known in infamy, and might be lucky enough to avoid whatever specifically got up Matthew Prince's butt.

I'm tired of people talking about "our dystopian future"...the reality is that it's a dystopian now. And it's cunts like Prince who created it.
And it will remain dystopian for the rest of time. Decades of literature have demonstrated that it is legitimately impossible to break free from dystopia. Freedom is on its last legs everywhere in the world.
