250,000 illegal voters is crazy, but in the grand scheme of things, isn't a crazy amount when its a over 100,000,000 votes. Even if you take the 2024 election

And round way down to say 140,000,000 votes, 250 thousand is barely 0.2% of votes.

This isnt to downplay the fraud, it most certainly is way worse than these numbers, but if the number they actually can claim is 250,000 (EDIT: I forgot This is only 4 large states) then its almost guaranteed that this will be a huge nothingburger in terms of actually doing something.

With that said, I still think the SAVE act will pass, and think that the hold up is asshole senators wanting some dumb backdoor deals before saying an easy yes.

Even 100,000 illegitimate votes in a swing state can decide an election. Its not like all votes are thrown into a big pot.


People get arrested for voter fraud all the time. Also, states like California have resisted investigations into things like ballot harvesting where we all know that most ballots for Republicans are destroyed after being inspected by the activist collecting them. Also also keep in mind that investigations are slow until arrests are made en-mass. Feds love to watch activists squirm and incriminate themselves or rat out their competition/friends before swooping in and making the arrests.

If I remember correctly for how the math worked out, the 2020 election came down to a margin of about 10,000 votes in certain swing states to move the balance of the electoral college, so 250,000 foreigners is certainly enough to sway that.
